So I didn't see a thread for the afore mentioned line of TF.

This is a place to share you interest in Construct-Bots, learn more about them and show your Dr.Frankenstein style best efforts whether they be serious attempts at something or just for kicks.

I wanted to share some discoveries I found recently. As a preface to this the Ultimate 2-pack of Megs and Op contain alot of extra bits that don't feature in the instructions which I believe serve well as a booster set for other figures.

Firstly here is Starscream with a modified jet mode, the reason for it becomes apparent in bot mode.

The robot mode is now a far more classic seeker style silhouette. Whilst Starscream comes with a pair of minguns, the ultimate pack comes with some missiles that serve nicely as TFP style weapons or as a decent alternative to the standard arsenal.

For Ironhide here is a simple addition. Using two massive turbines found in the 2-pack Ironhide can now have his movie-style arm cannons

For vehicle mode if you switch the rear wheels to the inside and not the outside you can create a rough Batman tumbler style

By removing Soundwave's wings and placing the fins on the top of the vehicle he looks like an aquatic vehicle

Using some wings and spare clips from the 2-pack you can create a jetwing Prime effect

Still with Prime you can create a non-transforming movie aesthetic by placing all 4 wheels on the legs and moving the smoke stacks to the back piece. I also switched the tight pieces with Ironhide to break up all the red.

On to Prime's nemesis, Megatron. He has lots of extra parts too and using these you can create a transforming G1 looking robot mode and mode G1 style non-transforming robot.

And I've just leave you with 3 classic scenes unfaithfully recreated for your viewing pleasure:

The battle on Sherman Damn featuring the non-transformable G1 style Prime and Megs
    [IMG]

'How do you feel mighty Megatron?'

'I would have waited an eternity for this....it's over Prime'

P.S. I'm using a new camera so I'm still working out the kinks.

Also here is Wheeljack with his trademark 'wings' on his back. I used some tailfins from the 2-pack.

I posted this in the cool pictures thread already, but I'll post it here too:

I switched around the wing parts, larger ones on his legs, smaller spikier ones on his arms. Also repositioned the cannons that stay hidden in his default configuration so they can be deployed over his shoulders and head. Then I attached Starscream's wings, much to his disapproval as you can see. Also switched out the dull grey shoulder and thigh pieces for Starscream's red ones. It's not visible in the pic but I also put Starscream's shin pieces on the back of Bumblebee's lower legs to give the legs a more filled in look. Bumblebee now looks like a crazy anime mecha. I'm thinking of switching the head and chest parts for Starscream's to see how it will look.

As you can notice in my sig, TFP:RiD Nemesis Prime confiscated the swords that Bumblebee came with.

Can't wait to get the other sets.

Nice, I don't have the triple changers yet but I'm certain that by merging Bee and Scream there is a rough Sunstreaker waiting to be created.

Can't wait to pick up a few of these and see what I can do with them. I'm pretty invested designing Lego MOCs, so these should be fun/easy for me to create my own transforming figures. I'd have ordered Starscream by now if it weren't for the paint issue on his head, but I'm hoping they fix that issue with a running change. Looking at Soundwave, Wheeljack, and Shockwave, then waiting for some of the dragons to come out.

G1 Cybertron Bumblebee revisited. Now with thrusters and star scream's leg, shoulder and thigh armor. Alt mode kind of looks like a small ark.

Angle star scream's wings down and you get a Star Trek looking 'Bird of Prey' vehicle. Also, I don't mind the wings on the arms as much as I thought. Still capable of some nice poses.

Here's a better view of what I did to Bumblebee's back. I think its pretty feasible to use those cannons as weapons for other characters given the location of the 5 mm pegs. Will have to experiment!

I like the use of bee's cannons in robot mode, but what do they look like in vehicle mode? I sit possible to transform this way?

I haven't really bothered to transform him to be honest. the cannons would probably face the wrong way.

I really love these guys, but I hate that you have to hang the tires off of the forearms on the wheeled figures. I found a way to keep all the pieces on the figures without having that crap on the forearm (well, everything but Prime's blue trailer connection pieces).

I like the double wheels on the legs and the struts are connected to the T-bar on the back, under the hood pieces. I really like that Megatrons wheel wells help fill out the torso in robot mode.

mgonz80: Really dig the group shot and your subtle mods. Very clever.

I've been tinkering with my custom G1 cybertronian bumblebee using some of star scream's parts. It kind of looks like a small Ark.

    Enjoy:

Custom transformers construction bot combiner - YouTube

The camera work is pretty bad, but we have our first combiner effort. Maybe the person who made this can do some still photos on how it goes together. Or at least the parts in limb form separate.

    EDIT:

Second video added, which shows a lot more info. :D

A third video also. lol I just saw this one posted a few minutes ago.

    More video footage:
