You know... That's the exact reason legitimate complaints get overlooked... I can just about play Devil's Advocate for anything.... But this is a tough pill to swallow. While I think in general the fandom could be more forgiving.... Well I still don't know how we went from a show called Combiner Wars to...um.... To this.

So... Yeah. I think in this case, we, as a generally negatively biased community might really be justified this time.

The "Game of Thrones of animation", everybody.

 

this got really bad...there were a couple decent episodes that showed a bit of promise but the voice acting is terrible the animation is so out of date and the story....

this just went into a nosedive..

 

I've been commenting against all the ultra harsh comments about this series because I felt the criticisms were small, petty, just pure negativity, and people were writing this off without giving the show a proper chance. With this episode and knowing there is only one left I have to say, what the f was that? Why isn't this about Combiner wars but Starscream and I do mean scream? I'll watch the last episode but after this one it's a fail.There were so many interesting directions to go but they came and brought this episode. I'm just speechless and really let down.

 

That was just terrible. There's no point detailing what was bad because literally everything about it was just shit.

This is leave-it-off-the-resume type of stuff.

 

megatron is by far the best thing about this series, at least windblade's dead

 

I'll say this for Combiner Wars: the sheer awfulness of it has finally given us something the majority of TF fans can agree on. I'm sure that counts for something.

 

Holy crap my ears are bleeding from Starscream's screaming. That was just brutal.

 

Y'know, normally I'm inclined to agree that this fandom's relentless negativity can get really grating, but in this instance? This isn't all just blind hatred because it's different from X or whatever, it's just a bad series from both a storytelling and technical standpoint.
I mean, it's called "Combiner Wars" and the actual Combiners have barely been in it at all, shit, they even refer to the in-universe Combiner Wars in the past tense, it straight up isn't even about the events it's named after.
A more fitting title would've been 'Tranformers: Aftermath' or something.

They don't do that.
Kind of like how Victorion did nothing.
And Maxima.
And really most of the characters.
