Has anyone found compatible combiner heads for the superion/Computron mold?
Not that I know of. What kind of heads are you looking for?
Also; new combiner based of concept Operation: Firestormer from MaM. "Custodius"
Hot Spot -> Inferno (T)
Breakdown -> Sideswipe (RL)
First Aid -> Ratchet (LL)
Trailbreaker -> Hoist (RA)
Shockwave -> Peacemaker (TM)
between playing dragon ball fusions and looking at my cw collection.....this has popped up...
ginyu: g2 motormaster
guldo: breakdown (stubby legs)
burter: jet mold
and they make....THE GINYU MAXIMUS!
.....i need to refresh my batteries.....
nothing from my experience. sorry.
So I got bored and decided to keep hitting random articles on the TF wiki until I got five bots:
So we have:
Ironfist (Animated): Swindle
Night Viper: Silverbolt
Airazor (ROTF): Air Raid
Rot Gut (Prime): Rook?
Silverhound: First Aid.
Might try again just to see what silliness I might find.
you know what popped into my head? steamshield's slugslinger cockpits, skyfeather vtol wings and a new head to make a double funpub homage to airazor.
Retool of Brawl and Blast Off into Flywheels, complete with autotransformation gimmick
Wheel of random
This time, only Decepticons.
Lensflare: Alpha bladtex
Crankcase (movie): Optimotormaster
Thrust (G1): Skydive?
Thundercracker (G1): Also Skydive
Six Shot: Shockwave.
All, in all this sound like a pretty good combiner.
using the random button on the tfwiki, i got these guys, focusing on decepticons....
masterforce overlord = silverbolt
armada shockblast = rook/brawl/shockwave
archforce = brawl
random seeker #1 = skydive
random seeker #2 = air raid
i noticed an awful lot of purple potential here....
And now Autobot edition:
Drench (G2): Dead End.
Jetfire: Probably Silverbolt
Skyfall: Probably skydive.
Gearhead:...Dead End again?
Over-Run (Armada): Powerglide?
Wow, that was a boring one.
Just thought of this. Based off one of the alternate reality's in the TAAO Revolution one-shot; Empress Windblade, Ruler of Caminus, and her four servants.
Combiner name: Grand Empress Windblade.
Silverbolt -> Empress Windblade
Afterburner -> Guardswoman Chromia
AB/Vortex -> Advisor Aileron
Firefly -> Assassin Maxima
Dead End -> Traitor Arcee
Cyclonus -> Skyquake
Air Raid -> Falcon
Fireflight/Slingshot -> Snare
Skydive -> Skydive
Skydive -> Talon
This was done by Fakebusker, actually...
yeah...i remember that! the heads are on shapeways!
as for mine...the deceased torchbearers. maybe zombified for fun....
Praesidia Magna - Transformers Wiki
she looks like a good use of RID ratchet, but for combining...optimus
Fastbreak (G1) - Transformers Wiki
this one reminds me of windblade, so i'm thinking firefly's mold
Crash Test (IDW) - Transformers Wiki
it says the name was originally for dustup, so i'm betting a simple repaint of CW lightspeed will do
Recent recieved a solo CW Dustup* so I can start preliminary work for a convevsion to TR Minerva.
My question is if anyone has posted or has attempted to alter the lower legs to allow the knee joint to work when the back window and trunk are facing front (acting as shins and feet ala G1 Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak)?
I've been studying the engineering and it seems like I'd need to either modify the original knee assembly or make a new one. Either way, what I'm thinking is that the existing knee joint needs shifted to the other end of the part (in stock robot mode, it needs to be moved to the front of the leg instead of the back). The problem then is that it would now occupy the space of the current "kneepad", which is supposed to brace the knee in place for vehicle mode conversion. I don't know how really critical that part interaction is, or if I can get away with changing it or if would need to make a leg brace on the underside of the rear window plastic.
It's not something I can't figure out, but I'd like to see another's solution to this if it's been attempted before. If not, I guess I'll provide that service.
*She's the only version of that mold to have the right shade of red gaucho legs and other hard-to-paint parts, have the right car style for a Minerva, and NOT demand $40+ minimum on ebay. CW Brake-Neck née Wildrider goes for ridiculous quid there.
As an aside, every Victorion piece can be found individually on eBay in the $10 ballpark. Did people just ditch the box set the moment the Takara version was announced? (Can't blame them, honestly.) If so, that still doesn't explain why the TorchBearers are so plentiful individually, unless it's to attract customizers looking for said molds in specific colors.
you mean dustup. rust dust is the motorcycle and judging from the other molds mentioned jumpstream doesn't fit the bill...
as for the leg thing, i know someone did a stakeout with the style you are referring to. i'll search it up in a second.
edit: here you go!
Minor/Repaint: - SOTW Stakeout
Turns out that there's a guide for exactly what I want for the legs.
Separate names with a comma.
