Want to some salt with your fires and hamburger?
ok, so, after one day and about 30 rewatches of the trailer, I've calmed down enough to post my highlights
4-the music burst during the shot of bee and Charlie underwater, that gave me goosebumps
3-berni macs voice over at the beginning, more goosbumbps
Look, all this theories about how it could connect is great, but Hasbro knows nobody cares about canon in the Bayverse. Travis Knight wasn't brought on to connect to the Barversre; he's here for a course correction. That means he has no creative restrictions. He and his crew can redesign characters and overwrite plot points as he pleases. Any semblance to it being a prequel is because it originally was, but it's been repurposed as a reboot, so whatever follows won't align with the Bayverse.
I thought by the failure of The Last Knight, it was clear that they'd reboot. I mean, they even announced the reboot months ago, so why are there still pages and pages of people speculating on what's already been confirmed or denied?
Looks really promising so far.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the movie is actually looking really good! The heart, the coherence, the DESIGNS!
Seriously, I’ve seen the trailer three times now, and I still freak out seeing Starscream. And Bumblebee oozes personality and looks adorable! I know I may end up eating my words, but it actually looks like a good movie, and if there’s one thing we’ve needed...
Seeing Bumblebee as a Jeep makes me wonder if there’s going to be some connection to the flashback from The Last Knight, which would be pretty cool I think, since maybe we’d see more Hot Rod and some interesting clash with the current AdoraBee.
That is a great idea! I hope that happens!
Given that we have confirmation on Barricade and it is almost confirmed that Starscream will be in the film would it be possible for the other decepticons that were on earth like Blackout,Bonecrusher and Brawl to be in it or are we expecting new members of that first contingent that were killed off therefore not present in the 2007 film?
So I keep watching this trailer, and Hailee's line "You got people out there who need you!" is starting to suggest something to me.
This movie could be a loose adaptation of #20 of the old Marvel comic, where Skids is injured, found and repaired by a human woman, and professes his desire to leave the war and stay with her. And at the end he has to go back to the Autobots.
I think this movie may be the story of how Bumblebee got wounded, lost his courage, and tried to leave the war behind and stay with this girl. And she helps him rediscover his resolve.
And this girl's name is Charlie, and the woman in the comic was Charlene... pretty big coincidence...
I love transformers and have done for over 30 years... the bay movies are terrible bar the first movie which I found enjoyable.
This Bumblebee movie looks and feels perfect, the director is perfect for this type of movie, like a modern 80s type movie.
Bee and starcscream look amazing, looking forward to December.
I'm actually cautiously optimistic. I showed the trailer to a non tf fan and he was stunned. He said it looked decent. I'm looking forward to a Transformer film for once!
Synopsis from wiki. Indicating that the other Transformers that will show up are most likely Decepticons:
"Twenty years before the events of the first film, in 1987, Bumblebee takes refuge in a small California beach town junkyard, where a teenage girl named Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld) takes him in. However, the two of them soon find themselves hunted by a Government Agency known as Sector Seven, lead by Agent Burns (John Cena). As they run from society, the two learn that Bee isn't the only Transformer on Earth, and that the others might not be as friendly."
I hope there's a scene of Hailee oiling up Bee's nuts and bolts real good.
Otherwise the movie is going to be a disappointment.
Wow that looks pretty good
I'm looking forward to how they'll have Bee take on the jet. I'm always intrigued to see how smaller combatants take on someone much bigger. I'm pretty sure by law of friendship that Charlie will help somehow, but overall it'll be fun to see how the wee beetle takes on the big flyer.
I'm excited, but I was the last five times
Not sure if this has been brought up. It looks like Starscream ( I assumed it is) in the Bumblebee movie takes the form of F-4 Phantom rather than F-15 in it's animation. I've got this by screen capturing the trailer.
