depends on the package. You could just walk in on Saturday and Sunday relatively cheap.

"Just" the exclusives? That's as expensive as it gets (well, besides dealer). Here's last years registration form to give you an idea.

If you plan on going to Botcon and you want all the exclusives, this is what it's cost to get all the exclusives (non-members pricing in parenthesis) since 2005 when FP took over the convention:

    Botcon 2005 - Primus Package - $265 ($315), Convention Only Exclusives - $65 + $35
    Botcon 2006 - Primus Package - $249 ($299). Convention Only Exclusives - $96 + $46
    Botcon 2007 - Primus Package - $279 ($329). Convention Only Exclusives - $89 + $47

So Budget roughly $300 for the Primus Package and another $175 for the convention only exclusives. You'll most likely have some left over, which will be a nice bonus when you hit the dealer's room or the bar... but probably not both.

If you know for certain that you're going to Botcon and you're not a club member, I highly recommend you sign up. Normally the Primus package costs ~$50 more for non members, but one year of membership only cost $40. So not only do you save $10 off the Primus package price, you'll also get all the perks of being in the club (free figure, 6 issues the club news letter, member pricing at the club store, etc). To make it even easier, FP allows you to sign up for the club at the same time you register for Botcon.

Wait to exchange it. I think the US $ is going to drop even more than it has already. Guess I should have kept some of that colorful Canadian money from my trips there instead of exchanging most of it when I came back to the US. I did keep some change and a 5 since it has a picture of kids playing ice hockey on it.

This has been helpful. Plane ticket, Hotel room, Primus package, exclusives, Drinks, food.

Hey is there food at the convention?

Looks like $3-4,000 may be a correct estimate, oy!

I didn't spend anywhere NEAR that much. $300 food and beer, hotel(split room and you save a lot)... 4 of us in a convention hotel was only around 100 per person for the duration. so that's only $400. travel is another couple.. primus package and exclusives combined is less than $350. so you're still under a grand and that's everything except spending money. There are lots of ways to fly without breaking the bank.

In the other thread, Flywheels mentioned an airline called Skybus. Apparently they're pretty cheap, but only fly out of small airports

That's wayyy to much. I spent alittle over $1,000 with flight, gas, hotel, Primus package, food and money for dealer room in 06.

$3000 is what I've spent on average ... but I'm flying from out of the U.S. and renting a car for several days.
