the big death (realistically)

    I agree with this... I remember when one of the Harry Potter books came out, I think it was the fourth one, and they said in promoting it that a character died. And there were a ton of scenes that teased a character death, and it felt like they used that external element to heighten the drama. Without spoiling anything, I'll say that played in a bit tonight on Prime.

    I actually don't mind if a character's death is either meaningful, or is the natural progression of their story arc. I just hope we don't get one of those horrible "Oh look, here's the new bad guy, see how awesome he is, he took out ______ in a single shot!" They do that in comic books a lot, and I really hate it.

    I hope it's not Breakdown or Bulkhead. I must be cursed because it seems like every work of fiction I enjoy, my favorite characters die.
