Bbts can't control when their suppliers ship out their product. They really aren't screwing anyone. They are the ones in essence being screwed! Longer it takes for them to get their shipment the more likely people will find them instore causing people to cancel their orders! This is one of the few instances b&m store got something in first!

    :lol

Made me think of this for some reason...

In any case, BBTS isn't screwing anyone. The only ones really getting screwed over are BBTS since they've already ordered these things and NOW they probably wish they could cancel and get the Sandstorm cases instead since the other two are showing up at Target and people are canceling...

To counter all the negativity, I just cancelled my FM order from my POL. They issued me a store credit for 329. So I emailed and asked if I could get a refund, since I needed the cash. And they were happy to oblige. Talk about great customer service. No wonder they are my go to online shop for all toys!

As has been said before, 180 days from the last time something was added to an existing PoL, not 180 since the PoL itself was originally initiated. He can add stuff periodically to his PoL if he wants and could actually get it to two years, I suppose.

Oh sure, it's not their fault. Unfortunately, I'm sure BBTS cares more about their blown preorders than Hasbro does. No, I feel bad for them as a business, happy to go through them in the future. I just meant it's an epic fail all around. And (dog)shit rolls downhill.

At any rate, amazing figure. Springer's even better in hand.

Except for the fact that I also got an email alert the other week saying my PoL time was almost out:

I started the POL on 12/4, and added things on 12/27, 4/11, and 5/3. I sent a reply email asking about lead times for Springer/Blitzwing and Boxbomber:

    From the PoL rules:

I don't see anything on the site currently that says that adding to the PoL extends the time limit. That may have been the case at some point in the past, but I don't think it's true any longer. My guess is that anyone who had an open PoL prior to any rule changes gets grandfathered in.

That's... Strange. I've had things in a POL for over a year before and never got an email like that. I figured it was because I was always adding things.

It's definitely been the case in the past because I've done that with several previous PoLs, as have others (check the "Biggest PoL?" thread around here; many, including myself, have waited around or over a year before shipping their stuff).

If they have changed the rule, it's been sometime in the last few months, at least, and I definitely do not recall any communication sent out that they were changing their policy regarding whether the 180 day limit is reset or not. If that is the case, I wish that would've been communicated because that does affect how I approach shopping at BBTS, to some degree.

I just emailed them to get an exact answer how the pol works and if adding items resets the time

    This what I got:
    Dear Terry,

Our policy states that "the Pile of Loot orders may be held for up to 180 days. After 180 days, your order will be shipped automatically, we will email you with a reminder before we ship."

A few customers have slipped through the cracks and with our new expansion of our warehouse, it took time from us getting the customers to ship their Pile of Loot orders.

Now that we are settled, we are getting all the older Pile of Loot orders to ship and those that are approaching 180 days.

When you add an item to your Pile of Loot order, the timer does not reset. The 180 days starts from the day you first create the order.

For example you started your Pile of Loot order on 5/7/2013. You have until 11/3/2013 to ship your Pile of Loot.

I hope this information is of help and explains the reason why some may have older Pile of Loot orders.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you today.

Non-Transformer news, but my PAK TDKR Bane and Batman are now processing.

Well that's...unfortunate. 180 days is still a long time, I realize, but I liked the ability to sit on stuff for longer than that, if I so chose. I can understand their impulse to go away from that, but it's still not a change I'm thrilled with. I imagine I'll be getting an email toward mid-July for my current one if I don't ship before then.

Thanks for getting the clarification Flyby. I'd like another month or so on my PoL as well, okay maybe two. :lol  But I understand why they made the change. There's been quite a few changes to the PoL rules over the years. Remember when we were allowed to cancel stuff for store credit no matter how long it had been in the pile? Those were the days!

...not that I abused it or anything. [IMG]

I'm guessing it's already been said, but iGear Chrome Spray dropped in my loot earlier today.

Dr. Wu's "Doctor of Evil" and Soundwave pink energon cubes dropped into my PoL. Also iGear's Chrome Spray but not sure I'll keep him.

That sucks about the PoL. I got my reminder the other day, and I was really hoping the Springer/Blitzwing would have made it in to my current PoL (and it would have if they had met their original release date! Argh. )

If they don't drop before it ships, I compelled to drop my pre-order since I won't saving as much shipping them separate- and people seem to have great luck finding them in retail so I'm confident I can do the same.

I have 3 things now preordered with a May "release" and something that's been sitting in my PoL for 2 months waiting for at least one of them to drop. Come on Springer, Vegeta, and Takara Skywarp!

Hell, I still have FoC Magnus dwelling in my PoL.

Springer would have been a nice centerpiece- oh well.

I'm not sure if it's where I live or just really terrible luck, but I never find anything in retail beyond wave 1 beast hunters and now a return of wave 1 Generations FoC Deluxes (OP, Jazz). So BBTS has been a godsend for me. I'm fine with waiting a little longer if it means saving me the frustration of constantly seeing empty racks or the same old voyager predaking over and over.
