Which was the best Updated Mold from the Univese Classic line in your Eyes,

My had to be Universe Cyclonus...Very loyal update to a G1 fig.

But the figured I most wanted I think is Ghost Starscream or Fan Projects City commaner. Not sure if I should City Commander but damn he hit the mark for me.

Tough choices there. I think the Seeker Mold, Cyclonus, Hound and Mirage are all fantastic updates to their original selves.

I'd give it to Mirage and Cyclonus as a tie.

Mirage is a fantastic reimagining, and Cyclonus brought the cartoon model to life. So it depends on where my mood is at the time - updates or nostalgia.

The G1 Mirage was not that bad IMO. Cyclonus was a mess though.

It's a cross between Cyclonus, Dinobot, and Jetfire for me. Cyclonus amazingly has no visible kibble, Dinobot is relatively show-accurate, and Jetfire is all-around a good toy.

    Inferno

I don't even give a damn about the character, but that mold..holy fuck. One of my favorites ever. Cyclonus definitely deserves props though.

Definitely Mirage. I remember when the pics first came out, I cringed at the thin waste. That was quickly abated with the figure in-hand. It's fantastic.

Cyclonus is definitely up there too.

G1 Cyclonus still has the better jet mode, but the new robot mode makes up for it. I bought both the Henkei and Universe.

Call me crazy but I really like Henkei Convoy and Prowl, two molds that some people bitch about.

Mirage-Cause he can pull off some sweet poses

Inferno- Perfect update of the G1 character

    Hound/Ravage- Another very good update

Cyclonus- Just cause he comes in light purple :lol

    Worst

    Bumblebee/Cliffy
    Grimlock
    Hotshot
    Ironhide/Ratchet
    Powerglide

    Most potential wasted

Galvatron- There were so many things that could have been done differently with that mold.:mad

You know what? ROTF Hoist. Seriously, have a good look at that and tell me it wouldn't make a freakin' awesome Classics Hoist.

But of the ones that are intended/released as classics, I have to give it to the Seekers. I just recently got the ghost Starscream and it's 100% win. They also tie with the Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen mold. Customed me a diaclone Bluestreak out of those and it looks great.

Most of them honestly. The only ones I thought fell a little short of the mark were Grimlock, Galvatron, and Ironhide/ Ratchet.

Some might not like the change in alt mode, but Classics Bumblebee is a huge upgrade from his Minibot days IMO.

Cyclonus is definitely an great update as well - his bot mode is so streamlined and practically kibble-less, not to mention coming with his Targetmaster.

And Prowl... my first Universe figure, and still one of my favorites. Lots of people criticize this figure often for sticky paint and such, but I still think he looks awesome.

Alternity Bumblebee makes the Classics version irrelevant.

I'd have to agree that the Universe Inferno is very G1-ish. Maybe not Inferno G1-ish, but it just has that very simple "blocky" type feel to it. Reminds me a little of G1 Soundwave... big square boxy chest.

    My favorite is Prime though.

As far as "biggest improvement", I've got to hand that easily to Hound, Cyclonus, or Mirage.

Aside from Galvatron, Grimlock, Ironhide/Ratchet, and Octane they're all great updated versions in my mind. I may be one of the few but, I LOVE Powerglide being ultra class now, hopefully we're get more mini-bots in accurate sizes like say a Voyager Warpath
