Pristine, bone-white G1 Jetfire for a cool dollar. Of course, he didn't have his weapons, armor or booster pack, but for a dollar, that's hard to beat.

*high five* I found one of those for the same deal. It's in my collection now.

I once found an official, barcoded UPS hat, which turned out to be worth around $60 on eBay.

My best score was a huge bag of near mint GI Joe figures, vehicles and TONS of parts. Pretty much a complete 1984-1986 figure collection with several duplicates for $20

I got a power of the force millennium falcon for $10 with the box. they had initially asked for $20, but when I tested it, the electronics didn't work, so they halved the price. I got it home, took it apart and jiggled some wires, and it worked!

I found some old-man style shorts that looked like they had been crapped in a couple times.

12" Mego Hulk. With original pants and drawstring. Perfect condition after he had an alcohol bath. $1. This was about two years ago I think.

I have to say my breadmaker. I've made lots of good, healthy bread with it.

Second would be the G1 Divebomb without wings that I traded for Energon Ironhide. Yes, you read that right - and it was because I WANTED Ironhide. :D

    Ebay:
My four-year old daughter found a nice talking Woody doll for just $2, and the pull string still worked. She was thrilled to be able to buy it with her own piggy bank money.

Edit: My mother-in-law found a couple rare editions of the Lord of the Rings, bought 'em for 50 cents each, and was able to sell them to a used book store for over $100.

A Burger King magic trick robot doodah (looked vintage, it was the King and he would do some handkerchief trick when you pushed the button on the base). It had the box and everything, but I never had the $40 they wanted for it...

Beyond that, I can't remember any amazing thrift store find. I mainly look in the quarter toy bin...

A rare MxPx 7" vinyl record. I bought it for 25 cents and flipped it on ebay for $300 later that week.

A really thrifty person. No really, I'm yet to find anything of worth at the Thrift stores around here. The ONLY thing I've purchased at any of them is a RiD McDonald's toy for 25 cents.

The only thing I found at a thrift store was a set of four dining chairs, probably from the seventies for only $10. They were perfect for my vintage fifties dining table, just needed to be recushioned and I put new vinyl on them.
