Is the song called "One"? It's not very clear.
Maybe he means Metallica's "One". If so, I agree.
So what's the point here? Post-Fuzzy posting?
Pantera "Fucking Hostile" is way better. Hell, "The Shortest Straw" is better and it's the next track on that album. But it depends, "One" is good training wheels starter metal for emo types.
....of the most overplayed metal songs, ever.
*goes to listen to some Judas Priest*
I thought he meant U2's 'One,' and I was very, very confused.
F'n Hostile is pretty bad ass too. Hell, that whole album was bad ass! The guitar riff at the beginning of Regular People almost gives me wood.
One the best metal song ever? Surely you need to hear the bass for it to be at least considered good? (I kid AJFA is one of my fav albums)
5 Minutes Alone is a candidate.
Here's the barometer of metal: What would be best to mosh to? I love Tool, for example, but I'd never mosh to it.
Sorry Kid! But you are so wrong on this one. "One" is by far not the greatest metal song to date. I dont think you can put a label on that. If you think that one is the greatest metal song, you need to plug in some "Iron Maiden" Opeth, Slayer, the list goes on and on.
To my mind, the greatest metal song ever is Motorhead's "The Ace Of Spades". Nothing can touch that song. Nothing. Although Opeth come close (good call Blunticon).
Did you ever hear the Country and Western cover that was doing the rounds a few years ago? Musical sacrilige of the highest order, but still utterly hilarious.
Come to think of it, i'd pay £100 to hear The Shat do Ace of Spades.
I disagree with you.
I'm not sure what I think is the best heavy metal song, but I know it's not one.
Rock on! *headbangs*
It is def. hard to place a title on such a genre. But "One" is def out of the running. Its just to outdated. The best Metal song should grab you at any time, just like the first time you ever heard it. "One" actually makes me sad and depressed, and the video will as well.
YOU hit the nail on the head there, thats why I suggested Pantera as to me they are timeless.
AJFA is dated as is most Metallica is tot hat specific time.
The greatest Metal song should always get you pumped up for destruction and mayhem. no matter how old it is.
