optimus prime and I just wanted to know wats ur favorite G1 optimus prime toy?

 

Jafcon prime! I love the colors and it was released before the Mold went to hell

My top choices are:

1. Metalforce Optimus Prime (I know he doesn't transform but he came out at the height of my excitement for collecting transformers and offers a really nice depiction of G1 Prime)

2. G1 New Year's Convoy (I love the blue windows and that he came with an action master version of Prime)

3. PP01 Faith Leader (Mini-Masterpiece Prime): I loved the original Masterpiece Prime but thought it had two major flaws 1) an unsatisfactory headsculpt 2) it was too large to fit in with most of my collection. The faith Leader figure fixes both of these problems.

 

masterpiece Optimus Prime is the defacto G1 prime. from an accuracy standpoint there is none better, and it is my preffered Favorite. wfc prime is my 2nd, 3rd is classics prime and then the rest all seem decent to good in my book, with animated prime holding a special place in my heart.

 

iGear's PP01

 

I disagree. With the alternate, more accurate, heasculpt that came with the first release of PP01 it is arguably more accurate than Masterpiece Optimus Prime. I say arguably, because PP01 does not come with die cast.

I do so love PP01. It has all the best elements of the most accurate transforming Prime figure with some significant improvements. It will be hard to top.

 

yeah if were purely talking different versions of the g1 bodystyle than MP is so awesomely hugefied and beefy, but I really like the Faith Leader version just as much as its a little more manageable and scales better with everything else. I would buy the sleep mode if it
a) didn't include the trailer (personally don't like the clear and have enough trailer
b) came with the death bed
that would be an instant buy

 

I gotta say my favorite version of the G1 Prime toy is the Perfect Edition Masterpiece edition. It's hard to beat such a well put tgether toy.

 

New Years Prime is my favorite, because of the cartoon accurate colors. Plus all the cool little things packed in with it; autobot mousepad, metal matrix, and a little action master prime
A close second would be g1 prime. Just because that was my first prime and first tf for that matter

 

I'd say New Year's Prime as well. The only thing he's missing is an axe, and I just bought a repro one to finish him off.

I second the music label Optimus Prime (G1 colors), new head, fully painted, blue windows, tight joints, get a repolabel's G1 upgrade sticker kit and you'll have one heck of a G1 Prime.

The iPod Prime is one of my favorites right next to MP-04 Perfect Edition, the New Year's Reissue and iGear's PP01.

To rank them is very difficult for me, but those are my top 4 in no specific order.
