TFW Alcohol Afficonados Group just throwing that out there. I drank a shed load last night and feel quite ill right now...
I'm most for lager, and this is my preference so far; http://ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/Beer-Ratings.asp?BeerID=63712 One can drink if one wants, as long as one can drink right.
Miller Lite is like the ex-gf that's always down. No matter where I go, what I do, how little money I have, she's available. Aw, yeah.
If you guys can find it outside of Canada, try to give Alexander Keith's India Pale ale a try. Its really good. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...indiapaleale.JPG/450px-Keithsindiapaleale.JPG Rickard's also makes a fine red, and their white (although I think it would qualify as a blond) is quite nice in the summer as well. http://bestuff.com/images/images_of_stuff/210x600/rickards-red-45300.jpg If you're looking for something a little crisper, say, a pilsner, Steamwhistle is a fantastic example. However, I imagine its extremely hard to find outside of ontario, since they don't use many preservatives in their beer. Well, if you're touristing it up in downtown Toronto, stop by the Steamwhistle brewery. Its basically right across the street from the CN Tower. http://www.genx40.com/images/2005f/steam.JPG McAuslan is a small brewery in Montreal that makes an Apricot Wheat Beer. Again, its a very unique taste and is great for drinking on the patio in the summer. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/194/5432/?view=beer&sort=latest&start=0 Unibroue is a microbrewing company in Quebec that makes a whole variety of beers that are very different from what you normally find. More, I don't know, historical. Some of them still use secondary fermentation in the bottle, some are extremely strong, but by and large, they all taste like something you would have gotten centuries ago. Definitely worth checking out if you can find some. http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm One of the most interesting beers I've had is the Nickelbrook Apple Pilsner. It tastes like beer with apple. Not cider, apple. It's a really unique taste and its great for clearing bad tastes from your mouth for some reason. Worldwide, I think one of my absolute favorites is Tennets, a Scottish beer. Its a smooth bitter, tastes kind of like guiness without the thickness I would say. Also, DAB from Germany is another really great beer.
When I used to imbibe alcohol (I can't anymore - medication interference) I enjoyed Yuengling Lager. Yuengling is America's oldest brewery.
Sam Adam's Summer Ale. Good stuff. When not in that mood it's Shiner Bock. The grocery store beer here sucks though because for some reason Oklahoma thinks 3.2% beer is good enough for us. Bastards. Have to pay liquor store prices for brew. Can't get over 3.2% beer in typical domestics because of the stupid state as well.
Stella Artois. Carlsberg. Greene King IPA. Guinness. Adnams Broadside. Wychwood Hobgoblin. Fuller's Honeydew. Fuller's Discovery. Most of my favourites are real beers... with bits in!
My favourites are usually dark or strong (or both) real ales: Wychwood Hobgoblin Black Sheep Riggwelter Taylor's Ram Tam Theakston's Old Peculier That sorta gubbins, mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I've been trying to tell this to my wife for years! Ohohohoho. Right, beers. My generic "common" beer that I will generally drink is Becks.
One day this girl is going to discover coolers and fruity chick drinks and her world is just never going to be the same.
