G1 and G2 AFA MISB. Hoist and Seaspray are two of my favorites so I thought I'd start there. Picked up the G2 Seaspray for a good price and couldn't resist bidding on the Shrapnel.

    E-Hobby Autobots and Decepticons.

Takara "Bookbox" re-issues. Most are sealed, expect for those I wanted to transform.

Encores. All of these are opened, so I could finally play with some G1 figures I've never owned or haven't transformed for 20+ years.

Hasbro re-issues. All sealed except for Hot Rod. I remember when I received Hot Rod, my first of this particular line and was stunned when I held it in my palm and noticed how small it was (or how big I am compared to twenty years ago).

    Masterpiece Optimus Prime.

Very nice MOSC/MISB set. Do you plan on getting the color varients of the Transmetal Megatron or Optimus Primal? Or the Japanse versions of Rattrap and Terrorsaur, they are more show accurate

I think eventually yes. I started with the basics and am expanding out from there. Eventually I hope to get most if not all of the Japanese Beast Wars and any other variants out there; cost is just prohibitive.

Nicest collection I've seen in a long time! You're pretty close to finishing BW Neo, you going to do it?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, why'd you choose to go MISB with everything? Must have cost, oh, double or more on most items. I could do it for a few items here and there (and eventually open them, like my VS-35 set) but never an entire collection.

I'm hoping to finish Neo, considering the great molds this line has. I've got the more rare figures left to get like Break and Killer Punch.

As a collector, I lean more towards MISB/MOSC and I suppose it all boils down to the eternal debate of in or out of the box. It doubles the cost yeah but it doubles the worth, to both me and other collectors (plus it makes the chase all the more fun for the harder to find figures). I have Transformers that I got specifically to take out of the package, like the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary figures, the HasTak re-issues and the Classics and that's good enough for me.

And BTW, the Binaltechs, Masterpieces and most of the re-issues have been opened, just kept fresh in their boxes.
