Nah, the only actual bad thing is that the line is so limited. I want it to continue indefinitely.

My only gripe is that they are not free.

I have to agree with this one. I personally think that the line should have at least 6 waves, and then add on the Minicons, the LOC's, any Scout sized figures (phone, camera, and gameboy come to mind), and the two-packs. Peace out.

There are no bad things about Classics. You just don't know about the surprise feature of the line.

See, the designers foresaw this quandry. So, while you sleep, your Classics all come to life and seek out their G1 counterpart toy(s). They proceed to destroy them and dispose of them, salvaging what pieces they can assimilate into their designs.

When you awaken, the Classics have new paint apps and accessories, and you don't remember the G1 toys.

Has there been any sort of statement saying this line will be a limited run? Or is it all up in the air and we just hope for the best?

It's actually just up in the air right now. Hasbro origionally said that they currently had only 2 waves planned, but then we got the two-packs, the minicons, and the LOC's. So we don't really know either way. Most of us are hoping that this line lasts a good long time. I'm also hoping that the Cell Phone bot, the Camera bot, and the Gameboy bot, are all a part of the Classics line. It doesn't really matter to me who they are, or what colors they are for that matter, I'm going to be picking up those three the first chance that I get, even if they aren't from the Classics line. Peace out.

Well hopefully the popularity of the Classics speaks for itself and we'll see many more to come. I think Hasbro might be a little surprised exactly how well these do go over and hopefully not break a good thing.

And yeah, I'm with you about those camera/PSP/cell bots. Pretty cool stuff indeed.

What if this line doesn't sell. I mean, us collectors love it, but what if the general public doesn't like it? I know it's a long shot 'cause they're freaking awesome, but what if they bombed on the shelves?

Then we don't get anymore Classics at the very least. I guess it would depend on what happens then with the movie and the next television show whether or not Hasbro continues the line to see if they can continue making money with it.

    Thank You!!

And the only problem I have with Classics is they will end and so will my collecting for a while.

    They are now. :p

As to the length of the line- Hasbro could easily put out two waves between now and xmas. I can't see them realistically making two waves cover from now till June when it's that's a total of 12 figures, not counting minicons and LoCs. (and two-packs etc) So I think there's a pretty good chance we'll see more stuff, repaints at the very least.

I hafta agree the only bad thing about Classics is how small the line itself is. Come on Hasbro, MOST of us fans like them, that hasn't happened in who knows how long. Please make more.....pretty please?:D

The line will do good, especially getting around x-mas time.

Yeah, I've always preferred to G1 over all other generations, and it's what I love to collect. But, uh, yeah, they don't do anything. I finally got a Kup yesterday... His gimpy arms are the only thing that move...

I wish they could totally redo the entire Generation One series as Classics.

I agree with most in that I wish it was a line that would be continued for a while. I understand that a lot of Hasbro's resources will be going to the movie toys, but could this not be a sub line, like Tits and alternators.

Tits and alternators....Tee hee, sounds like a porno...

I bet it will be since the response is SO enthusiastic & positive. That could also explain why we're getting the first wave earlier than what was announced. Maybe they realized these things were going to sell out immediately if they stuck to the original release date and that stock would disappear. The whole supply vs demand thing that they probably didn't want to deal with this close to X-Mas. Just a theory.
