I love it how every movie they make is a COMPLETE RIPOFF of the actual hollywood blockbuster being released the same week.

Has anyone seen their new Sherlock Holmes ripoff? I never read the books, but when the fuck did a Tyrannosaurus, a dragon, and a fucking octopus terrorize England in this franchise?
And calling that T.Rex in the poster oversized would be an understatement. T.Rex was only 40-45 feet in length and 16 feet in hieght, sure it was practically a Godzilla in it's own way but nowhere near that size.

I love how proud they are when one of their shitty movies gets a reward, like how Megashark vs. giant octopus got worse DVD of the year. They even realize their movies suck  

 

If there's a blue box in it, then I can easily explain it.  

Ironically enough, Ianto stars in it as Watson.

Personally, I love their cheesy ass movies. They're stupid as all hell, but that's the point.

 

I wish I had the dignity to make a living making shitty knock-off movies.

 

Asylum is a decent production that gives work to hundreds of people and still has the time to send over graphics to TFW when we did the very tongue in cheek Transmorphers World 2005 on April Fools day a few years ago.

Yes they make knockoff movies. There is an audience and a money making market for that. More power to them.

I don't see a problem, dudes got to pay the bills and they woulden't keep making movies if folks wern't buying them.

Besides, it'll give George Lucas and The Wachowskis somewhere appropriate to work if they ever run out of hollywood jobs.

 

I think Godzi is just sore that The Spoony One gave Transmorphers 2 a better review than ROTF.

 

I dunno, man, the second you said "Tyrannosaurus" alongside "Sherlock Holmes" my immediate reaction was to say "@#(%*^ yes" and go to their website to find a trailer.

 

Futile internet rage and ignorance of TFW history loses again.

Maybe next time, Godziboy. Maybe next time.

Fuck that pube-headed basement dweller, ROTF is Shawshank Redemption compared to that steaming pile of garbage.

This isn't rage, I'm just disgusted out of my mind these people haven't been shut down. If you wanna make GOOD money, try making something, oh I don't know, ORIGINAL? Instead of ripping off movies and getting money from people who mistoke it for the actual hollywood blockbuster it's ripping off.

Their movies suck, plain and simple. Bad acting + EXTREMELY bad special effects + poor plot= A large, steaming heap of FAIL.

That Sherlock Holmes ripoff is making Arthur Conan Doyle turn over in his grave. It's an embarrassment.

If people are stupid enough to mistake (and not mistoke. that's when the j passes by you) one of these films for the real thing then they deserve to have their money taken of them. Idiots.

You know, Godiboy, you really should lighten up. Movies are supposed to be fun, and they make fun movies.


EDIT: And it's worth pointing out that nobody with Godzilla as their avatar should be complaining about low-budget films.

Yeah, but it's Godzilla. It's been going on for the past 50+ years because it's fandom stayed loyal to it.

I can't have fun while watching Asylum's crap.

I thought the Acting was fine in ROTF. Not Oscar grade, but not a piss-poor-pathetic either. Shia Labeouf himself is a good actor, Ramon Rodriguez made me laugh and Megan Fox I think is getting better. She's young and doesn't have much experience so you gotta cut her a break.

There are hundreds of thousands of good scifi movies (Not the channel originals) out there. Starship Troopers, the entire Alien quadrilogy, many Godzilla movies infact are pretty good (G vs. Destroyah being my all time favorite  ) some originals have been good. Abominable I liked. If it had a bigger budget with the FX I think it would have been better.

But it's like Asylum isn't even trying. Their movies just suck. Maybe back in the 20's-60's they would fit in perfectly with the wide variety of B-movies out there, but in this era of cinema they've become nothing more but a tumor on the ass of Hollywood, just draining whatever money they can get by creating cheap ripoff low budget films. They don't even deserve the title of a "film" or "movie"

 

And that changes things, how? I find it hard taht you can appreciate Godzilla for it's low-budget cheesy fun, but not Megashark vs. Giant Octopus?
