Agreed but at the same time disagreed. ^^' ROTPOTA (wow XD) was a good film, very nice plot, good characters and great cgi but the ending was sorta left in the middle. :S It does leave with wanting to see more,I do hope the sequels deliver an actual monkey take over. ;)

I agree the ending left me a little confused. I was thinking it would lead directly into the original film somehow, but I guess that's the purpose of this upcoming film.

Awesome news. Loved Rise of the Apes (still think they should have stuck with that) and can't wait for the next one. When Caesar speaks for the first time still gives me chills.

I enjoyed the first movie too. Surprisingly the CGI on the gorilla and the other apes were good but not on the chimps.

Probably not. Knowing Hollywood, they'll try to make this a prequel trilogy and won't tie it into the original films until a/the third movie.

Where the whole "trilogy" fever came from? ^^' I mean, the movie could work perfectly being a single movie if they fixed the ending. Oh well, at least will have sequel to show new events and it wont get canned like Burton's Apes. T.T That one really left me wanting to see more. :(

I loved Rise of the Planet of the Apes and I can't wait to see the sequel. I only had one complaint about the first one. We didn't really see the apes kill that much and the battle on the bridge seemed very small. To the movie's credit, that was the point. They were showing just the start of the uprising. I hope we get to see the apes learn to use weapons in the sequel.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was pretty good, and I figured the ending would be a sequel hook. Can't wait to see more ape action! You could say it'll be more fun than...

A barrel full of monkeys. :p

    Umm...what? :peoples:
