You have to call in and be EXTRA nice to these people. They will either refund you money or give you a credit on your next purchase.

And if they are jerks about it, you could just say to them. Well, technically I can just return this using free shipping, and get the other one using free shipping, so in the long run you guys lose money. Should I do that instead? Or ask to speak to a manager.

How the eff are you getting free returns? I've got prime and I couldn't do it with something I bought there just this past month.

If I wanted to be a real douche bag, I would use their $10 credit to buy this at $42 and get the free shipping, then return the one they sent me.

I did the online chat and they were the most unhelpful people ever and then I called in and spoke to a nice lady who helped me out and refunded me $83

 

For me they deducted 3 dollars from my refund when i had to return something

I didn't order Jetwing Prime but I ordered FoC Jazz and Prime (two of each) yesterday. Then the price on Jazz dropped every so slightly. I figured why not, I tried to cancel the order but it was already in process. I spoke to someone on the phone and he was able to change my existing order to get me the lower price on the ones in my order. I only saved about $1.88 I think but it was minimal effort.

 

Somehow Evergamer is getting it to work, but unless it's broke or you don't open it and just reject teh shipment, then no, they charge you.

(*some items like clothes do have free returns, but that's teh exception.)

 

$83.71..I dont think she did her math right and I wasent going to argue, I originally paid $139 and change to have it shipped to me in canada. They are refunding it to my creditcard.

But man oh man, you got a deal!

 

I started with an Amazon chat session with someone telling me they don't adjust prices post-shipment. They transferred me to a chat person in another department, who basically went around in circles sending the same refund policy info over-and-over again. Then initiated a call to me, which went to a 3rd person, now by phone. That went the same way as the 2nd chat, so I ended up asking for a supervisor, who ultimately decided to make a one-time exception for me and refund the amount. I told her if it was easier to add it back as a promo to my account, that that was fine, as well. She said that was easier, so I now have a $52.94 credit on my account. I was cordial and polite to everyone I chatted and spoke with along the way. I think all of them understood that it didn't make any sense on their side to have me return the item and re-order it, but that was their policy and they were going to stick to it. They also kept thinking it was beyond their 30-day return period since it was ordered in July, but I had to keep telling them to look that it shipped on November 30.

If something is genuinely wrong with the item, then yes. Otherwise I think it's like a 50% restocking fee or some bullshit if you're returning it "just because"
