So, there's a lot of appreciation threads for characters, toylines, etc, but do we have one for the amazing CGI used on Transformers: Prime?

So, I have made this thread in appreciation of the CGI used in Transformers: Prime. I got the idea when I watched Scrapheap in HD on my giant TV, and noticed the bumps in the Autobots' paint after the Scraplets attack them.

    So, yeah!

Uh no. TFP is far superior in terms of animation.

I always found Green Lantern the Animated Series better. I mean come on, they had an entire space fleet in an episode.

" synced" and I beg to differ on you. watching beast wars alot of the characters facial movement is fairly limited to prime. Prime does have moments where they mouth movements look weird but it's just that they are so expressive. Beast wars animation is dated to primes quality in looks but as a show beast wars hold up. Prime has one of the best looking cgi characters airing on t.v. at the moment.

The CGI in it is a more shiny kind. I guess it's nicer in some ways, but in others not so much.

Call me when they actually start populating the world with background characters, or have scenes taking place in areas that aren't rocky deserts.

Or maybe Prime takes place in a post-apocolyptic wasteland.

i disagree, maybe just because i hate cgi , i'm just a huge fan of cell animation
(i also hate flash) but when it comes to cgi i just love beast wars.not really the first season, but when it comes to the second and third i find it to be much better than prime animation wise and also plot wise.

The lip-syncing in Prime started out comically bad, like someone took a different soundtrack and stuck it on the show. However, as they progressed, the lip-syncing has evolved to near perfection. Sadly, the non-organic, relatively blocky style of Prime makes lip movements a tough mistress to master.
