I don't understand the logic behind this decision. The book was TERRIBLE. The numbers were in the toilet too. Oh well, I'll give the first issue a chance, just like I did with the other Iceman comic. I'm sure it'll be good this ti... haha, I can't. Look, I understand the rationale behind them doing this. Marvel wants to virtue signal, but this book isn't going to sell any better than the last one. It's going to bomb again, and bomb hard.

A Wolverine update from Soule. The claws are the only part of his adamantium skeleton that heat up. And only when they're out. There's a "science" behind it.

I’d be all the hell over that. I loved that book.

it won't sell any better, you're totally right. there was a mild uproar over iceman's cancellation because "you're cancelling the only gay comic in marvel??" and that's probably the only reason it's coming back. i read an interview sina grace did recently on marvel's website and i have a feeling he's turning bishop gay next. how he worded things in the interview makes me think that. also, how he words things in general....if i rolled my eyes any harder they'd fall out of my head.

i still don't get WHY he needs this ability. i mean....what can't adamantium cut through that he needs the claws to be red hot to do so? what is he planning to cut through? the planet? how much more unstoppable does wolverine need to get? and if they get super heated only when they're out....what happens when he retracts them? they can't instantly cool...so what, he burns his insides every time he retracts them? this new ability is kinda stupid and really unnecessary.

I wish Larry Hama could come back to write Wolverine again so it could actually be good.

Soule is adding powers as a crutch, because he can't think of interesting stories to tell with the character. He thinks a new power will intrigue people. If anything, it's the opposite. Adding powers makes a character less interesting, not more.

I don’t like the idea of adding weird powers to Wolverine, I also don’t really like how they have made his healing factor be able to regrow limbs. I think Ol’man Logan has been pretty good this past year, it’s a shame those stories arent being told with the real Logan.

Marvel really needs to get rid of all these time variant X-Men like Old Man Logan and the O5. It's bad enough that X-Men was a complicated book to get into during the 90s, now, geez, whole different level of confusing.

But see, now that the original is back they can do a War of the Wolverines event where they all fight and then like 3 of them go away after.

They didn't explain why the one thing isn't happening though? Why would they have all those spoilers but not the big one?

So I just caught up on Infinity Countdown, and one of the story points has Surfer back with Galactus. I just remembered that a similar thing happened in Annihilation way back when. Did Marvel ever break them up in a storyline or just hand wave it away like they did the DnA storylines? Next thing I knew was Slott’s Dr Who inspired Surfer in which he was free to roam the universe again.

At least this one will be about someone else (helping the Morlocks) instead of his sudden "change"

oh....it's still going to deal with the sudden change. i bet you that will still be heavily prominent in the comic.
