Well I can't wait for this, but it looks like it may not even get made the way things are going. Spielberg and Jackson need to quit being little money grubbers and just let the thing get made. Has Sony shut them down like Universal and Paramount did? They need to go to Disney. This is so a Disney project.

    Come on, Tintin! Get made!

I remember watching the cartoon every sunday on HBO Family whilst waiting for Crashbox to come on. But I haven't bothered to glance at the production of the film by Jackson and Spielberg. But from what I'm reading from your post, its not getting made or something?

Shooting's been rescheduled for this February. I'm so psyched about this movie! Maybe a christmas release date? They said it would only take thirty days to shoot each film, so it's definitely possible.

    And awesome cartoon movies too.

Anyways, I read something about the film being shot in real location by Jackson, the Spielberg's crew would add CGI characters on those scenarios.
    Kinda cool, cartoons IRL.

Yeah. I just ordered Mystery at Shark Lake on DVD. Can't wait. It's subbed and in French, but, hey. Cool way to learn another language.

I saw somewhere that this will be released in Europe for a while before a U.S. release date. Seeing as it's so huge in Europe, I honestly don't blame them from a commercial stand point. I'm glad it looks to be both "Secret of the Unicorn" and "Red Rackham's Treasure."

I am so excited for this movie!!!

Why don't they ever adapt Tintin Au Congo into English? Technically it is the first ever book made. :cry

    Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright?

    OVER-WRITING, HO!

They're going to try make every line as witty as possible, I can sense it. :(
    You...

    You're joking right?

Argh, 'realistic' CG. This risks freaking me out as much as Polar Express. :(  I'll stick with the early 90s cartoon!

I've got a good feeling about this one. Seems like it would be nearly impossible for S&J to mess up something like Tintin. Mind you I said nearly impossible. ;)

As for the animation...while I much prefer old fasioned hand-drawn animation I can enjoy CG if its done well, and I can't imagine this looking as wooden and dead as something like The Polar Express.

Eh, I don't know enough about Tintin to get excited about this. If anything I guess the animation looks pretty good.
