If I'm beating a dead horse, or if there's already a thread like this, I apologize.

So it's been almost a week since the windstorm hit, and many states, including Ohio, have been without power. Many people are taking up temporary residence in hotels while others are toughing it out with generators. Anyone besides me still without power? Because this is by far the longest I've gone without electricity.

The 2012 Summer Power Outage makes the 2007 Summer Power Outage look like the 2003 Summer Power Outage.

Down here in Chillicothe got hit but not as bad as Columbus did. I never lost power but a lot around town did. Last Sunday we got a crappy load of hail.

    This.

I watch the news for a little while every morning too. I heard con ed telling people to keep their power lower to prevent brown outs but that's about it.

Now 2003 is a power outage i remember. It was right after my mom moved into her new house after the divorce.

Luckily it was just the night only.

I'd hate to suffer one right now espicially with my addiction to the internet.

What is this I don't even...

My mom and bro came back after feeding the pets, and things aren't looking very good. The dog and cat's noses aren't wet, and they don't seem to be eating much of their food. I really hope they make it, because I can't stand to lose them from this power outage. :(

I remember the power outage of 2007. Not pretty. Luckily, the storm didn't hit my area, but I hope power comes back soon enough for those who have lost it.

Fairly Oddparents joke. Every time something bad happened to Timmy's father, he instantly blamed his "perfect" next door neighbors; the Dinklebergs.

I don't think you understand that meme.

Sucks that it's so hot, power is cutting out, the worst I get here is rain.

Oh man I do hope your pets make it! :(

So far my family and I are lucky not to have a power outage but we're keeping watch just in case a storm comes into my area.

Prayers for those still without electricity.

Probably unrelated because I live in nowhere'sville Canada, but I've lost power at least once every second day for the last week or so, and it's usually been a sign for me to go to sleep.

I know that. I just want to know why UltraAlanMagnus would make a joke in a time of disaster and uncertainty.

You still haven't gotten yours back? I got mine back Monday thankfully, and the outskirts got it Tuesday. I live sort of close to the capital though so that could be why. But they are still saying July 8th for the whole county to get it back.

Power just came back on at my house. That's probably the longest time I've gone without power in my life. Pets are doing better thanks to the A/C running now, but the house stinks of rotted food. My dad's going to have to clean both the fridge and the freezer before we can stock them with food. Still, at least I can finally play video games again. Hopefully everyone else gets their power back as well. It's been a helluva week. Time for gin!

After Hurricane Juan my power was out for a week. That's why I'm glad to live on a main road. Not only do we hardly ever lose power but it's never out long.

My girlfriend is out in Columbus and a lot of stuff got tore up there. She's in one of those disaster aid group things (I think it's called 'Cert' or something) and she spent most of the week helping out clearing things up around town. Thankfully she was very lucky and didn't lose power for too long herself or suffer any great damage.
