Because there's nothing actually special about buying something from SDCC. Hell, Hasbro proves that by putting their crap online. It's essentially a Toy Fair open to even MORE scalpers than usual.

Tell that to the GI Joe collectors who didnt get their exclusives from last year. I see nothing wrong with it, you have the ability to go there if you really wanted the toys.
Fair enough. I usually have no problems getting the toys I want every SDCC. Actually last years GI Joe exclusive shortage was due to Hasbro allowing the "G.I. Joe Collectors' Club" first crack at the exclusives before they where available. With FunPub having no sales limit, people where buying them in mass quantities. Because of this, it caused a sellout in the 1st day of the con. This year Hasbro didn't allow 1st dibs.

Well, I will be up with the other insomniacs once again. Made sure all my CC info is updated. I don't really want any of the Joe Exclusives, but a couple locals do (though if I have a chance to buy Starscream I will jump on it), so I will hopefully be able to pick them up for them. Not about to take the time to use my Groupon giftcards on those things.
Ditto to that. I have a groupon and paypal ready, but I want to not just miss the item I wanted because I took the time to enter those.

This reminds me of those free stuff websites where you have to click to try to win the item at the correct time. Like an 6 hour period that you can win, and you keep viewing ads and refreshing in the hope of getting it. That is not a fun hunt!!!
this is one of those times i am glad i am into the tokusatsu stuff, when you are after those pre-orders for those sh figuart figures, you got to be on the ball or you are screwed
I'm excited! Checking throughout the night and have my refresh ready to go... I'll be happy to just score the Matrix Prime, maybe GI Joe Starscream if available. Decided to pass on Ultimate Prime. At first I really wanted it, but seeing as it is just going to be released in retail sans cool packaging, I can just pick that up later at retail.
fyi when ive tried to use paypal with gift card (which the groupon is) and or a discount code it said i could not use it with paypal could only use a cc tried this morning and still did not work with paypal
