So I was able to stomach the 5 inch scale for the movie simply for Venom and black Spidey. I actually liked them a bit, not ML like but still enough to look at them in stores. But now I see the next wave has been announced and pics are out. Shocker and Black Cat. Now a Cat would be cool since I don't have the Legends one. But then I saw it.

My god, wha ta terrible looking figure. Paint is wrong, hair is wrong. The only part they got right is the cleavage. Seriously, what is the idea of these cartoonish style 5 inch figures yet realistic movie figures?

Yeah I saw that too, pretty crappy. I'm not a big fan of non-TF toys but I picked up a few SM3 toys. 1st two broke, 3rd one is the metal finish Venom, he's holding up great though. So I'm passing on every other SM toy.

Ewww. I'll be happy with my Marvel Select Black Cat figure thanks. That one's not very poseable, but it can make men drive their cars up lamp posts. :)

Blech. Thank God for the 'Sinister Six' Cat and Classics Shocker. Hopefully that Spider-Man ML wave or whatever is 6" and not more of this 5" crap.

LOL!!! Wheres DCompose?!?!?!! He "loves" the Spider-man figures!! Oh. Blackcat suffers from the same problem almost all female figures do. She looks like shes wearing a diaper. Or has man parts. Either way we lose.

Why did they release a pic of her taking a dump?

Seriously though, YAY HASBRO! Doing great with that Marvel license...
This is why I decided to go DC Direct.

Well the reason why she might have no elbow joints is a toy gimmick involving the arms. Also DC Direct isnt much better. Infact Hasbro is just messing up the Spider-man line but the rest is just as good as Toy Biz. Dc Direct figs have a tendecy to be more of small statues than action figures. The have practially no joints.

I agree with the DC Direct to a certain extent...because unlike Spawn toys at least most of the DC Direct toys have "basic ariculations" such as neck, arms and legs.

I gave the SM3 line a miss because as cool as the black custome Spidey looked, they were not in scale with ML and with the amount of money I spent on ML, there is no way I'm going into another Marvel line with a "different" scale.

Agree 100% The figs should have been as tall as ML but no. We get Midgets. Oh well.

Don't buy many SM3 figs, but I sure spend a hell of a time staring at them in the store. Carefully veiwing over those ball joints. Wish they laid off all the gimmicks & swivel joints and went gung ho on the articulation.

Caved on the Exclusive SM , Venom, and Lizard . Even bought the New Goblin (7.99 version). Damn that was a bad move.

Bang up job with the Spider-Man liscense Hasbro! The FF Movie figures don't look much better. We've seen pics of them before, but we just got a case in my backroom at my Target... they look worse in person.

I'm glad they've kept the Marvel Legends in the six inch scale at least, but am seriously dissapointed that the SM movie, SM Classics and FF Classics -not to mention any other future movies- are going to get this horrendous five inch scale treatment.

Looking at those pics I'm thankful that I picked up my ML Sinister Six Black Cat when I did and sorry that I passed on SM Classics Shocker when he was everywhere, because his arms lacked articulation. He's probably going to be harder to find soon.
