    This is some weird shit though. Oxygen deprivation, maybe an increase of some element in the water the fish aren't adapted to survive to. I'm just spit-balling ideas.

    Only 125 miles from where the birds died?

    /me does google search. That seems to be within their flying range for a day. 2 major mass death incidences that close together is quite the coincidence.
