Most of my MP Tf's are in their boxes. That's why I bought the Hasbro version so I can display their counterparts with piece of mind. I always buy two of each so I put one away and display the other.

Sometimes I just can't be bothered to get them out of their boxes. Sometimes, horror stories about the QC of some figures deter me from getting them out of their boxes. Sometimes, a figure looks so good in it's box that I just have to leave it there.

I always open my stuff within a few days after I buy it. I think the longest amount of time I kept something in its packaging after I purchased it was maybe 5-6 days.

nothing I own is MIB or MOC I usually open everything.

The G1 Reissues, G1 Comemorative and Encore I tend to take out once in a blue moon then put back on their boxes, because I love staring at them.

I currently have a SDCC Nemesis Prime and Soundwave still in box as well

I also have a few eHobby exclusives still in box. such as Megaplex and the G1 Galvatron repaint.

I get doubles of my favorite figures when I can. I also have never opened the BBTS exclusive Seacons set yet and I don't even know why

    Respect G1 pal.
OK Seacons weren't the best (Looking a octopus guy who's name esapes me) But that combined mode is just glorious. Even the slightly garish colours work brilliantly for the teme of the set.

I really don't tend to leave figures in their packaging, but I recently won an ebay auction for nine sealed beast wars figures that are in SUPERB condition! (and at an amazing price to boot!). I originally intended to crack these badboys open asap, but the fact that they're Transmetals (and thus prone chrome flaking) AND in such such good condition, I really can't bring myself to open them! Heres the auction:

Beast Wars Transmetals Collection on eBay (end time 12-Jun-11 16:25:37 BST)

At this point i've got maybe 50 TFs from the last several years that i just cannot be bothered opening.

However, possible QC issues plus the fact i'm too lazy to start repainting ANOTHER movie toy are major factors in why Leader Ironhide is probably staying where it is.

I don't collect MISB figures, and the idea of it never appealed to me. I wouldn't have enough space for it anyway, even if I wanted to do it. I sometimes have figures sitting around in boxes (right now I have RTS Laser Prime and DOTM Shockwave), but that's just because I haven't gotten around to opening them yet. I only open figures right away probably about half or 2/3 of the times I buy them.

I do, however, keep the boxes of some figures if the figures are rare or special. I kept the boxes to Classics Ultra Magnus/Skywarp, and Henkei Astrotrain and Hound.

I have the ninja magic to stack deluxe card bubbles. *Wu-Pah*

Tons of weird sealed Transformers in my collection. Made a effort to get a double of all the Generations Line just so a sealed sample can be presented one day.

I used to Be absolute " Open it and get the box out of here" type of collector. I think it was the Energon Prowl and Starscream sams club set that set me in a misb direction, because after that set. I noticed how packageing can make a visual impact on your displays.
