It is my turn to make the "years ago" G1 thread. Recently, the Hub, had broadcast a G.I.Joe episode featuring a song called "Cold Slither." What do you think about the fact that many a time, you can hear this brainwashing Cobra song being played in the original cartoon, not only by Jazz but from other sources?

Is it possible that Jazz and Blaster were brainwashed by Cobra?

Or more seriously, could this be the first actual interaction between the G.I.Joe world and TF before Only Human?

I will say this: I do use that song as further evidence to show that the shows exist in the same continuity.

There were other little shout-outs to each series that weren't as noticeable. In "Blaster Blues", Megatron steals a device called the Voltronic Galaxator, in the GI Joe episode "My Brother's Keeper", Dr. Mindbender kidnaps a scientist working on a device of the same name. In "Countdown to Extinction", the exponential generator/anti-matter pod Dr. Archevilles is working on, shows up in the Gi Joe episode "Raise the Flagg" in the same kind of housing, performing a similar function.

Don't forget about Marissa Faireborn, who was stongly hinted to be the daughter of G.I.Joe's Flint (Dashiell R. Faireborn) and Lady Jaye

It's Marvel/Sunbow music- it's in Spider-man and his Amazing Friends, as well. Wouldn't be surprised if it's also in Jem. I love that tune!

I thought that rumor was confirmed to be true? Can't remember where I read that, though.

There is a G.I. Joe episode that show the Joes in the break room and Scarlet (I think) is watching Spaider-man.

I want to say that it wasn't a tv show though. I thought someone was playing a video game and the screen switched to "GAME OVER".

Ok, I found it. It's the episode "Twenty Questions" about four minutes in. Cover Girl, Ace, and a few other people are watching Spiderman. For some reason I thought it was a video game and "GAME OVER" popped up on the screen. I guess I just imagined that.

That's what you get when you have the same animation studio working on two different shows at the same time.

I always believe Transformers and Gi Joe should be in the same continuity.

A] do you and can you put up a link to the show

B] I dont subscribe to the idea, nor do I find any SOLID evidence, from within the narrative, in "only human" that the two shows share a universe.

Now before you jump on that let me explain a bit.

I am aware, and have been shown plenty of circumstantial/vague evidence of a connection, but the same evidence can be used to say they were parallel universes with some similar aspects.

Some claim that Old Snake was Cobra commander, and sure, that was what the shows creators wanted us to think, but he never completed his battle cry.

And to me thats an indication that they either wanted or were told not full connected the universe for some reason.
