Wow, I never realized that was used in so many films and cartoons. Or that it even had a name of it's own. I mostly noticed it in Star Wars films and regard it as a Star Wars scream. Thank you for sharing this information.:)

Yeah this is pretty cool. I've heard about this awhile ago from a SW message board I think.

That is great. In fact, one of the evening news last year did a piece of the Wilhelm Scream and its origin. In the Transformers movie thread, someone posted that Wilhelm Scream was used during the movie as well.

After watching that Video, I truly hate that "Wilhem Scream" now (actually I've always hated it, but it gives me a good chuckle.... when I don't hear it so much).

Wow that's crazy. I love the little rap at the end of the clip.

Always noticed it in Star Wars and Indy. I noticed it in Transformers but I always kind of thought it was an ILM thing. 150 movies though? Damn. :lol

That one's not really used as an in-joke, but more because it's from a cheap and easy to get ahold of sound reel.

Same reason police scanners always have that same woman's voice talking about "One-oh-seven five."
