I'd like to thank both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker for their contributions to the entire Transformer Genre. Without their voices Transformers might have just been another cartoon. Thanks for all of the characters that you've given life to over the years. We hope you have many more years of prosperity ahead of you. Take care and God Bless.

Mod's please make this a sticky for all that want to add their comments.

Cullen's awesome, revising his role for the film was a good call. Frank's many, many, MANY voices were such a great part of some of our favorite classic characters.

Out of all the top voices we've had, they were probobly the best.

I'm also glad Cullen is reprising his role in the Transformers movie, but you can never know if the show had been 'just another cartoon' without Cullen.

Maybe other people could have made it big too, you know.

    ;)

Pretty much all my favorite G1 voices were actually non-Cullen/Welker, so I don't think we should play down their contribution.
Kudos to Cullen, as his voice is pretty awesome, but (and it's just my personal opinion) I've always found Frank Welker overated.

Every time I hear a cartoon voice by him I think of "Freddie" from SCOOBY-DOO (even S3 GALVATRON). Anything 'good' about how MEGATRON sounded was due to his voice being treated beyond recognition.

Again I stress: Just my opinion.

Yeah, I actually think Scott Mcneil should be given huge props, since he must've givin' more voices for the shows than any other.

Love Cullen's Prime & Welker's multitude of 'Con voices.

I also like Corey Burton ( G1 Spike, Brawn and Soundwave - which floored me). Just as with Welker, shows the variety of his VA'ing. I look forward to hearing Burton's take on Megs this fall in the new cartoon.

G1 Wheeljack & BB's voice were also some of my faves.

Shockwave you mean. Frank Welker was Soundwave. Also Wheeljack, Sparkplug, Defensor, and Starscream were all the same guy.

I really liked Casey Kasem as Cliffjumper. And Michael Bell as Sideswipe and Prowl.

One of the happiest days of my life was meeting Mr. Cullen at the 2005 NYC Cybercon for an autograph. I thanked him deeply for all the years of pleasure. I wish I could thank all the G1 voice actors the same way.

I honestly believe that Peter Cullen's interpretation of Optimus Prime made him an icon! He's always been more than just a cartoon character to me. I will gladly tip my hat to Mr. Cullen.

Jazz/ Crothers and Prime/ Cullen were the main reasons I adored TF's so much!

Thanks goes out to Cullen and R.I.P Scatman!

I almost cried when I heard Mr. Cullen's voice in the movie trailer from December. I missed hearing it. The one thing I always remembered from Transformers was Optimus' Voice. I am glad we will get to hear Mr. Welker in the game as well.

Mr. Cullen & Mr. Welker, I salute you! Thank you for all the memories!

Cullen, Welker, Latta, Bell, McConnohie, Burton ... just to name a few of the big ones. They helped make that show something legendary. Thank you!

    Peter Cullen = Optimus Prime

    Frank Welker = Megatron

They led a generation with their voices.

I too had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cullen at the 2005 Cybercon. What an amazing man. He is so genuine and it seems to me me carries a special place in his heart for Optimus and TF Fans. My biggest joy though was seeing Backscatter with him. I will never forget both of their smiles.
I add my thanks for both of their contributions. We will never know for sure, but what would the success of Transformers have been without their genius' behind the characters.

Every time i hear Cullen as Prime i get goosebumps and I am one of the few that wasnt crazy about Kayne's voice as Megatron I actually liked his old raspy voice in the old G1. I am really interested how Hugo is going to do as the new megs! Welker though will always be Megs to me. Now i thought Galvatron should have had the same voice as Megs. Since they were really the same person.
