How many people wait until Friday to feel happy and excited because the weekend is here? If so, do you dread Mondays because the weekend's over and you have to go back to work for another 5 days?

I'm sure this question would have been better to ask at the end of Summer and not this early into it, when the majority of people were actually still going to school.

Not everyone. Some have that TGIF feeling every day. It's called an "attitude of gratitude."

I have a good attitude everyday. Unless I don't feel good. I always try to explain to people that Monday is just another day and being grumpy just because it isn't Friday or the weekend will leave them grumpy for mosst of their lives.

That's impossible. To be thankful or grateful for the good, there has to be the bad. I'm not saying people aren't just happy all week, but you can't say it's a "TGIF" feeling. There has to be balance...yin and yang. It'd be great to not have to be excited for the weekend, and kudos to those who are lucky enough to enjoy their job as much or more than their time off.

For those of us who have to work full time, Monday's suck. Wednesday is "hump" day (the middle of the week, half-way to Friday), and Friday is relief that it is the last day of work for the week and we can sleep in on Saturday and not deal with our idiot bosses. Did I say idiot, I meant wonderful. Yeah, that's it. We love our bosses...

Either that or TGIF stands for "Thank Goodness I Farted" :D

I don't have the "TGIF" feeling every day. I am somehow a lesser person now by your judgement? Are you going to tell me I'm wrong and flawed?

When I was in school, Friday was always my most anticipated day of the week and I would always dread Monday. I've had that attitude since first grade. I hated school with a burning passion and graduation was the best day of my life. As much as I hated it though, I'm glad I never gave up and didn't drop out.

You're really sensitive. Relax, not everyone is out to get you and thinks that you're inferior. Chill out and stop pretending that everything is about you. Are you so lonely and starved for attention that you have to involve yourself in every discussion I'm in in hopes of getting into an argument just so that you'll have someone to communicate with? Was the initial post addressed to you specifically or did you once again come in acting as if it was all about you? I'm failing to remember one time where I did this to one of the threads you started. You probably don't even start that many threads for fear that others will mock you and make fun of you. Says a lot about you. Since other people's opinions mean so much to you, you might want to stop doing what you're doing with my threads. You're embarrassing yourself, which is probably quite uncomfortable for you.

I work full time and I don't think Mondays suck. I think part of the problem is a lot of people think they "have" to work. They don't "have" to work, they "get" to work. They don't "have" to go to school, they "get" to go to school. Maybe a lack of appreciation for all of the things they think they "have" to do that they're actually "getting" to do plays a part in how people feel about Mondays and Fridays. They think they "get" the weekend off, they don't think they "have" to have the weekend off. Follow?

All that typing and you couldn't even answer my question. All I wanted was a straight answer.

Yup, most of the time the only time you realize how valuable something an experience is is when you're finished it. It's unpleasant while you're going through it, and too bad a lot of people just quit when the going gets rough. If they stuck it through, they'd see that nothing good comes easy.

In the summer the days don't matter when you have two months to goof around.

So when does it start to matter? Why does that feeling of freedom disappear?
