    Great pics as always!

    But man... maybe I'm being too harsh, but it seems like the current figures are being designed by someone with no sense of aesthetics or inspiration. They are just so boring and generic-looking compared to the great designs we used to get in Generations, Prime, Animated, etc. What happened to those designers??

    Nice enough figure. Mine unfortunately came with 2 left fists. Bbts is supposed to be sending me a replacement fist once they get more in stock.

    The Prime and Animated line had a pretty unique aesthetic, so bringing them up here would be kind of null. (I loved the heck out of them)

    But yeah, the older Generations definitely had a different look compared to ones today (accompanied by more complex and fiddly transformations, of course, so this is a success in some point?)

    I just hope that Takara's version doesn't end up as some random Toy Show Exclusive... (I'm looking at you CHUG/G2 Nemeis Prime!)

    Wow...I never loved this incarnation or design for Optimus Prime, but dang if I don't really want this particular figure. It just looks better and better to me each time I see it for some reason, and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just such a departure from what a traditional Optimus Prime figure usually is...has there ever been a triple-changing Prime? Maybe Powermaster Prime would qualify technically, but this might be the first time we've seen a triple-changing Prime that's completely self-contained in terms of alternate modes; Powermaster Prime's base mode was basically just his trailer...

    Now you guys correct me if I'm wrong, but...is this indeed the first triple-changing Optimus Prime?

    Also, the parts that pop-up around his head are reminiscent of Prime's Powermaster head-design in the old Marvel comics, and I like that look. Another thing I find interesting is the design on his chest/pectoral area...it seems to resemble his Transformers: Cybertron design, which is a design I always loved but never got...

    I'll definitely be on the lookout for this one...I even like his cool collector card. (lol)

    But, uh, seriously, I guess a lot of the fun of TRANSFORMERS for me as a kid was when they struck that balance of "intuitive and relatively simple" and "holy shit, how did they pull this off?" engineering-wise. And this figure sort of strikes that place where a lot of recent figures have failed too.

    Nice pics. Hopefully he'll show up in my neck of the woods. Plane mode has kind of a leer jet vibe going for it. Its ok, doubt I will put him in that mode very often. Bot and truck modes are A+ to me. :thumb

    Just FYI.. both wave 3 Titans Return G2 Laser Prime with Diac and Tank Megatron have been spotted at Malaysian retail. I repeat. I Personally have SPOTTED both AT THE Kuala Lumpur INTERNATIONAL Airport DEPARTURE TERMINAL TOY ASILE ..of all the random places. Its 1 x Prime to 3 Megatron per case. So difficult to even to find!

    Not the best jet mode, but wow the other 2 modes look really nice. I really hope this gets repainted into homie convoy
