Even now I'm surprised no third party companies made the effort to make bodies for these heads. But then again most third party companies abandoned the Deluxe class entirely.
I really enjoy these dudes. While I wish I had bodies for them, it's also really fun to just mix and match a ton. And as I'm getting a few of the japanese guys, it's making it real easy to take the US bodies with some of these heads to make new dudes.
Price point was probably killing them. There were quite a few 3P deluxes that were fantastic but I couldn't justify paying the price for such a small figure when there's leader class figs on my wish list that I haven't picked up yet for less. Now, for a lot of the bigger figures, sure I'd pull the trigger on buying.
As cute as Over(kill)board is, I wish they did the same thing to him that they did with Ramhorn, rather than just being a full repaint of existing figures. At the very least, they should have used Grimlock / Clobber's face-sculpt for the TM. It would have made a nice homage to that deluxe-class Overkill.
