Look at that damn dirty rhino riding ape. What a poop slinging monkey he is.

Move the white feet and lighter grey bits to the one on the left then you have a deal.

    Outstanding pics! :thumb  :thumb  :thumb

Damn, I hate it when the two MP options are side by side and I can't honestly decide which one looks better! :banghead:  :lol  IT'S TORTURE! :D  MUST. RESIST.

But as accurate as this MP is, I'm super bummed I had JUST bought the re-release of the original, just before the announcement and sale of the MP! That said, I kind of prefer it. The smooth skin on Optimus Primal might have worked for the show (CGI is expensive!), but it looks a bit off on the toy model. :/ Well, that, and I'm kind of attached to the show inaccuracies of the toys, and that toy-version MP looks an awful like the show version. :sly:

I wonder how long before we see some better BW MPs. For example, RAMPAGE! :D  Or even Black Arachnia (though that deluxe version is tops, already). No, WASPINATOR! That dude would sell like hot cakes! :D  Maybe a decent Air Razor would be cool, if only to have one that looked a bit more like her. Or him. I'm not sure what the deal was there...

If I did MPs I'd have a hard time deciding which of these two to get. Awesome shots, @Tony_Bacala !

Still wish we'd gotten Burning Convoy instead but this is still really nice looking.

Huh, the robot mode crotch seems more pronounced. I like it, since one of the few little gripes I had with Masterpiece Primal was that his crotch made his torso seem a bit disproportionately short. I do prefer the alt mode of the original though.

Just noticed some of my old pics/galleries at Reflector.com with Cataclizm\'s name on them :lol  , gee thanks guys.

    Honest mistake I guess.

Robotmasters Burning Convoy for example. No biggie, I still had much to learn back then.
The more modern galleries look so much better.

Bah, I still can't decide on which one to get. I like both but MP-38 could have really done with (more) paint on the weapons (since they're just blue plastic - or, at least, I thought they were but I guess they aren't. They don't look as nice though, in my opinion). I'm still leaning towards MP-32 but I feel like the more cartoony non-metallic colours "pop" a bit more. Hmm...

I still hate those elbows though. I see no reason they ever had to design it like that. Yuck.

Thanks Tony_Bacala for the great pics!!

Echo they same in choosing between MP-32 vs MP-38. Tough call. To certain degree, I was leaning back and forth but its mostly comparing one mode to the other (ape vs robot).

I ended up going MP-38 because colors popped more where the detail is needed the most in robot mode, which was more important to me. I typically go cartoon colors overall, every time. However, I wasn't a fan of the cartoon and actually liked the toys better. Add in the extra weapons, no die cast mace (why Takara does this as it just looks odd and adds extra weight that isn't needed, especially since Has/Tak joints can't take it), more G1 colors, which I feel is typically found on all iterations of OP i.e. RID, Prime, Movie, etc, plus the G1 no mouth head sculpt, all played a roll in going MP-38 route.

Its a great time to be a BW fan for sure but I do hope a Megatron is in the works.

PM me the wrong ones and I'll fix them. I tried to keep all the data from the old system straight but apparently there was some row shifting with the names. :/

Very nicely done. If this was the only version, I think we would have been happy with it. Sure, the unpainted weapons would've been a bummer, but there's respect in its doing the toy thing.
In direct comparison, the show version is obviously prettier, but I can't argue this guy is any less slavish considering the intent. As it stands, it's a toss up depending on how you feel between gear options vs more face swaps.

This just brings me to two questions: Will they bother with a paler yellow Cheetor or give us a Nightprowler? And will there be a weird lizard mask?
