The new paintjob is amazing. This Megatron is *so* striking in hand - the classic face sculpt and chest parts really make him and that ChROME! Wow!

Whilst i can understand why some people won't like the chrome... i personally love it, and as it relfects the environment it can make for some really dramatic pictures (like in the gallery) and some others like Sam and Thundercracker and a few others have put up.

Highly recommended figure.

 

i wonder if IT is going to make the same version, if not i'll buy it anyways

 

I don't need it - am very happy with the OG version - but I can’t deny that G1 box art pose pic is about as perfect as things get. Outstanding.

I swore I wasnt going to buy this repaint as I already have the original , but holy hell if that chrome paint isnt sex all in itself ! I gotta get this . I hope it sticks around for another couple weeks.

After all the chipping issues with the original, I'm curious to know how this will hold up.

Ok, gonna be honest, for a second I read that as "increased intelligence and virility" 0.o

But yes that Ironhide would be what happens if "the show has to look exactly like the toys!" mindset had won out in the Sunbow cartoon.

 

I have a burning question. Months ago a third party company made a toy head for MP Megatron, and it looks so close to this new Takara head. Is it just a weird coincidence or is it a knockoff somehow even though it came before??

 

It was just that industrial espionage took place from the side of the Chinese, when they stole the 3D files of the drawings of this head from the Japanese.

That looks so beautiful. I really wanted it when it was announced but I can't rationalize the price they're asking for it, even though I love MP-36. If it ever goes down in price I'll jump on it for sure especially after seeing these pics!
