    Nice range of choices.
Cybertron Primus is definately a quality transformer.

I'm not sure I get the arguments for classics bumblebee though, the two that voted for him don't seem to offer anything other than nostalgic reasons (i.e. I used to love him and now I have a new version). BB's been getting a lot of love. I like him, but he is pretty simple (again, I think thus reminds people of the original) and the seadoo/jetpack thing is ugly in both modes IMO. The alt mode is nice and slick looking, a decent figure...but best of the year?...

In their opinion, it is. I don't see why someone would say BB was bot of the year, but it's still what they think. Can't argue with opinion.

I thought something was missing from that :p

But I'm also positively shocked that Classics Prime only made honorable mention for a couple of them. Primus aside, that was *the* greatest figure released this year, and except for 20th Prime/MP Convoy, the best Prime figure ever.

I am more amazed that Minicon Broadside wasnt listed. I mean, the dude is the king of stability. Once I can get him to stand up, hes like a brick, he doesnt move or fall over

Hmm... all very nice choices. Don't personally get all the love for Primus. I mean, he's a great mold with excellently sculpted details and he's big to boot. Not to mention he does deliver as a planet formers where Unicron failed and has a full planet mode. However, I don't really feel that he's the "best of the year". I guess the price point really kills it for me. I love mine as much as the next guy, but a fifty dollar toy is kind of pushing it.

Personally, I'm with Kickback. Classics Jetfire all the way! He's got everything I've ever wanted in a Jetfire since we started getting new versions of the guy in Armada! Not to mention all the nice little nods to both the original Macross design coming together with all the little nods to the Skyfire animation model... yeah... BEST OF THE YEAR! He even incorporates the idea of the Strike Parts that added to the Macross toy's Fast Packs... which is incredable because the original Jetfire toy only came with the Fast Pack and not the additional Strike Parts... so that's just icing on the cake...

Great choices! And congrats on a well-run board.

I'm in agreement with much of the choices there, but IMHO:

    - Best from Classics Deluxes: Rodimus
    - Best from Classics Voyagers: Optimus Prime (I opened mine the same day I opened Jetfire and was surprised to liking Prime more)
    - Best from Alternators: Mirage
    - Best from Titanium: 6" WW Thundercracker
    - Best from Cybertron Basics: Giant Planet Mini-Con team
    - Best from Cybertron Deluxes: Downshift
    - Best from Cybertron Voyagers/Ultras/Leaders/Supreme: Primus
    - Best from Cybertron overall: Primus
    - Best TF of the year: easily ... MP-3 Starscream.

    Happy 2007!

I think faithful was the intended word, but I'd have to agree with fateful. :D

I still remember the fateful day I opened MP-03 to find he was missing several of his fingers.

that sure didn't come out right :lol

Dude, the thread asking for the Staff's picks was up for a coupla weeks! :p

General note: people need to keep in mind that not everyone owns every figure, and not owning a figure makes it kind of hard to vote it in your top picks *L* So keep that in mind when you're reading what everyone put in their 5 choices!
