I don't want the Hasbro one because Rodimus would look wierd in vehicle mode without his trailer but Tak is waaaay to expensive. I'll wait for the Tak one to depreciate in price

Hasbro's. I don't display Masterpiece figures in alt mode so I'd never display the trailer (I don't like the gun mode of it). So I can still display Hot Rod or Rodimus & not pay over $100

Surprisingly close so far. I'm not buying either, but that's because i'm saving up money, if were buying one, it would be the Takara version.

I liked Hot Rod better as a character, so I'm fine with the Hasbro version and no trailer.

ESPECIALLY if its under $100 when it hits retail.

Don't like the trailer, don't really like Rodimus as a character, don't really like this toy (the joints on the upper pectorals - nasty and they break up the flame detail - yuck) definitely don't want to spend that much dollar on this toy.
However, I am a fan of Hot Rod and I will buy most TF's if they are waved in front of me at a sensible price point, the way I see it if I spend $200+ on a trailer that sits in a box and never transform him into Rodimus, there really isn't much point. While I am sure the Japanese box will be lovely compared to the 'Bro, I can't justify the coin on a pretty box. Hasbro gets my dollar as it has for the Starsceam and Warp MP's, having sold my original Tak's.

US Hasbro/Rodimus. Because the trailer looks just like that, a trailer--it's not at all integrated with the cab. Real Winnebagos (they're built here in Iowa) don't have a separate, obviously-detachable trailer. It's all one big solid vehicle. The toon/movie was like that. The G1 toy wasn't. The MP toy is no better---it's still a big separate trailer being hauled behind the cab. It shouldn't be.

An inaccurate trailer for an extra 100 bucks? No thanks. (Sadly, I think the G1 toy actually integrated the vehicle better--the MP is too tall and gappier---I mean you could park Sideswipe inbetween the cab and trailer of the MP)

...and Fansproject Protector should have been a viable alternative option...unless this feedback gets back to Hasbro.

I think the Titanium had the right idea, wrong scale and lousy materials, but right idea.

If I'm going to get him, I think the Hasbro one is the one to go. I'd really prefer the Takara version, since I love the winnebago look, but $200 is way too much. Plus, the figure doesn't need the trailer to become Rodimus Prime, he's just lacking a second alt mode.

I'll most likely end up with the Hasbro version.

Unless it ends up being a TRU exclusive and the closest one 30-40 miles away will be sold out of them when I finally manage to travel there.... But that's just me.

But it being Rodimus I'll go further to get him than Grimlock.

I'm going for the hasbro version. I have no need for the trailer that'll end up staying in the box anyway.

Just takara tomy for now. I may get the Hasbro depending when and where it is released and the price.

I'll be getting the Taktomy Mp Rodimus. As Rodimus Prime is one of my few remaining good condition original G1's I think it's only fair for me to pair him up with a MP figure.. with that being said I'll probably try and get the hasbro one as well, money and availablity permiting..

Not getting either, as I don't like Rodimus prime in his original incarnation looks (don't shoot me now). I will use the FP protector instead

Rodimus Prime was never really my guy, but I love Hot Rod from the movie, even if he did get Prime killed. Who needs the trailer anyway, Hasbro version is the version to get in my book.

Assuming the cost is around 70 then it's Hasbro for me. It's MP Hot Rod with a Rodimus bot mode. Not having the trailer is justifiable for about 140 bucks in savings after shipping, etc.

That said we have yet to see the Hasbro version... there could be other issues. But I am hopeful that we will get some nice goodies for Hot Rod.

    ^This.

Also i honestly don't care for the loss of the winnabago mode, It always looked silly to me. Rodimus is one MP i actually really want.
