Hasbro. I can't justify paying $200 when the US version is only half the price minus the trailer. Rodimus Prime's height would be a little taller than the seekers so I would display it as Hot Rod instead. Makes sense for me just to get the Hasbro's version.

I'm going with the Hasbro version. I can't afford the TakaraTomy one, and I don't really care about the trailer.

Will (try to ) get the Takara version first, then go from there.

Depends on the Hasbro one. If it ends up in mass quantity all over the shelves then yeah.
If I have to hunt it down on eBay for $150 then forget the damn thing.

Going for both for sure! Gotta have the trailer (been waiting along with most everyone else for a really great G1 update of Rodimus Prime), and also would like a Hot Rod displayed as well.

I'm hoping that one of the accessories is the kick-ass shield from the movie!

Takara, because I'm an impatient sod. :p

(Although I'll be keeping a very close eye on Hasbro's developments... :D )

Possibly the Hasbro version because I've got no money and my Mum won't let me. :(

Ditto. Saves me the trouble of figuring out how to display it if I bought just one, or buying two Takara versions and figuring out what to do with an extra trailer.

I will get one takara and 3 hasbro. The takara one to leave in RP vehicle mode, 1 hasbro to leave in car and then the two robot modes. I will have to sell some of my collection to please the wife. But I will have them.:thumb

I voted Hasblo because I can't see myself paying $200. Of course if the U.S. version has an unwarranted price even without the trailer, I'll have to weigh all pro's and con's. The good thing about TF's though, is somehow, they always find a way of working out. Either it being help from great retailer sales, 3rd party manufacturers, or straight knock offs.

I like my figures to be as complete as possible so I would go for the Takara Tomy ver. Until I get rich playing with stocks and get my own apartment, there is a slim chance of having masterpiece Rodi ever in my collection.

I dunno if I'll be able to afford either, and I'd want to see what Hasbro Rodimus would come with to judge whether or not I'd want to get him (or rather, get him over the TakaraTomy version).

A shame; three great representations of my favourite Transformer (including Protector) on the way, and I don't know if I'll be able to get any of them.

    Sigh.

Takara for me. To me, this is the ultimate toy and I'm going for the whole package.

Hasbro version. Trailer is a cool idea and really completes it, but not absolutely necessary... not at $200. Looks a bit boxy to me as well.... I just like the figure and the morph from minor to prime. Looking forward to it.

I plan on getting both..One (The Takara version of course) to be Rodimus Prime, one (the American version) to be Hot Rod.

I'm leaning toward the Hasbro version right now. I'd love to have one that's as faithful to G1 Rodimus Prime as possible, but not at the $200 price point. I've also never really been all that big on the trailers... I don't display them in my collections, and they mostly just split in half and have some kind of gun emplacement/robotic arm inside an empty shell. From the pics, it doesn't look like this trailer has much "masterpiece" upgrade to it, so I can't convince myself to pay extra for it. I also keep 99% of my figures displayed in robot mode, so the loss of a winnebago shape isn't a big deal.

I'll be getting the Takara version. $200 is a bit pricey (I was hoping the price would come down a little when I pre-ordered) but I cant really see having a MP Rodimus Prime without the trailer. I've always thought it'd be fantastic for Hastak to create a MP Rodimus that could convert from Hot Rod to Rodimus so I wont be passing it up now that they have actually done it. Also I've prefered the Takara versions of the MPs so far and i dont think this MP will change that.

Now bring on Galvatron since Rodimus will not be complete on my shelf without him.

I'd like a little more info before making a final decision, but my initial plans are to get the Takara version (no pre-ordering) , and decide from there if I want a spare, which would probably be the Hasbro version.
