For Android users, I tried this and found it pretty good:

    - Image Shrink Lite—Batch resize - Android Apps on Google Play

The options seem to shrink images, although I can't change images based on file size, only dimensions. Could someone with a maths brain have a look at the app and let us know what the equivalent to "2 megs" is please?

Would rather not have another bill, another set of customization, that need to be maintained long term. Especially when it currently isn't necessary other than people uploading un-optimized pics.

Go into your camera roll, select picture, look at details. KB/MB of pic should be there.

Actually, it should be, since the CDN is by region.

What do I know, right? :)

I'm having a love/ hate relationship with the like button. I like that people can like a post with out having to post, but I wish they would post what it is they like about a post.

Thanks. I meant using the app to find the best option to shrink any given image. If an image is 8 megs, for example, which is the best option using the app to shrink it.

However, I'm not expecting you to do customer service for the app maker! If anyone is interested, they can always email the dev at the Google play supplied address.

It's better than having a bunch of people quote a post and just add "this" or "what he said," right?

It doesn't matter how much it travels when it leaves the pipes. A 2 MB file traveling from Arizona to China will be charged the same as a 2MB file going from Arizona to New Mexico. 2MB went out the spigot, they charge you for it. Their distribution across global servers to reduce dl time for user is good for the user, but irrelevant related to cost.

The cost involved isn't the main issue either. It's the technical integration and maintenance of it. Cost is just a bonus negative on top of that.

So, I have one last question about the new forum. Is there a way to set it so clicking on a thread takes me to the first post? I strongly dislike being taken to some random post in the middle of the thread every time I click a topic.

Aside from that, I'm really liking all of this now.

Yes and in a thread with discussion, like this one, it's fine as a way to say "I agree", but in threads where users are posting pictures, I fell that a reply of what was liked about a picture would be better than just a like.

It's not a problem with the relaunch but my personal preference.

TFW became even more addicting:D  It seems you found a right decision choosing new software! Site works good on mobile and desktop! I only don't like this plain fashionable design and lack of button Post in the top of page

    Apeface - Reflector @ TFW2005

This link, and all the other related galleries are completely broken. Clicking on them creates a blank screen, where it seems there are just too many pictures for the site to handle showing. Going to another page on your site afterwards causes it to slow don, with most of the page being pixellated or not lopading at all. this isthe same on both 4g and wifi at home.

PLEASE fix the site. It has gotten to the point where I am seriously considering cancelling my account over this, or pulling my hair out ;) . It's gone from a fairly stable and Ok site to one of the worst designed ones I have ever used (even though I love it).

EDIT: I have to say that the support, at least in reponses, at this thread have been good. I like this site a lot, but the sheer brokeness of it has frustrated me no end.

Same here. Working and normal load times on desktop and mobile, including Android dolphin.

Those are heavier pages as they are visual in nature. Might be a bit slower on mobile data. But there is a lazy load feature in place to load the pics on demand instead of all at once.

I'm running about as old school as you can get. IE11/W7 and it works beautifully, all the site has been loading much quicker and better in all honesty, much quicker than the old site. Promise. :)
Maybe your provider was having a hiccup?
