So yeah, just got a Wii from tfw's asquian. As time goes by, I'm able to afford more stuff for it.

Just boght a Wii points card, and downloaded the opera web browser for the Wii. This thing is really kinda fun. It's no firefox, but it's a means to an end.

I'm posting this thread from the comfort of my big red recliner, using the Wiimote to type,and boy is it tedeous.

Any of you have this?

 

only did it once, when i first got the opera browser. i just use it to watch youtube on my tv.

 

i tired but just like the Dreamcast and the PS3...way too much trouble...when i have my desktop and laptop a few feet away.

i can type faster on my iphone (one finger and all) than the console ones lol

I've posted on TFW from my PSP, PS3, and Iphone. I need to buy a Wii, just so I can post from there too. Only than could I really consider myself a true TFW addict.

 

That's the best reason I've ever heard to buy a console. I think I should buy another Wii so I can poxt on here twice as much.

Yeah, I have it too. Not really that fun beyond Youtube.

 

I often surf the web on my Wii. There is no better way to watch Youtube videos than lying down comfortably on my bed. Typing is tedious at first, but I do it so often I have become quite proficient with it.

 

it's way better if you get a wireless usb keyboard.

 

this. why would anyone want to type via a pointer? I love using the wiimote for browsing, but I'd never use it to type.

 

I tried it on a different Wii I just used it to watch Youtube

but my tv/Wii is 5 inches away from my desktop Why not just move from the sofa to the chair and start typing.

 

im typing this in my tricked out chair on the ps3 web browser. much more for me. my wii has dust. lol

 

I have a keyboard for my Dreamcast and used it for my internet for almost a year before I got my first real PC. I still need to get Typing of the Dead so I have a use for it now.

 

I used to post on the Wii a lot and use it for youtube. Haven't done it since I got a PS3 last November. But I got Opera for free, now you have to pay for it?

 

yeah, but just $5.

 

And if you live in the UK like I do, you can go onto BBC Iplayer and watch stuff you missed on the BBC channels

 

Since my computer is hooked up to the same tv as my Wii, it seems dumb to use the Wii Opera browser. But I have used it in a pinch when my compy was down, which was actually helpful.
