    :lolol  Good idea...

    Released in 2007?
TFTM Deluxe Landmine- Can anyone say uber coolness drizzled with a great deal of awesomesauce? Not only is it articulated, it is sturdy- no loose joint problems and is a rollerskate bot. The 4 working suspension thingies are just icing on the cake.

Runners up: Real Gear Spyshot 6, Deluxe Longarm, Hasbro MP Starscream, Leader Brawl.

Like the staff, I agree too much was released this year to narrow it down to a managable list... We almost need one for pre-movie releases and post-movie releases...

Well, since I just started collecting again is '07, I guess I have my whole collection to choose from. So, I'd have to go with Binaltech Smokescreen GT as my absolute favorite that I bought last year. Is anyone actually surprised by this? I didn't think so. :lol

Anyway, as far as released in '07, I'd have to go with Concept BB. I just love that mold. :thumb

    *EDIT*
Runners up would include: MP G1 Starscream and Alt. Rodimus.

I'll say MP Megatron...while not the perfect figure and not the most enjoyable playwise (esp in comparison to MP Prime) its just nice to finally have Megs to duke it out against Prime.

As stated in the Staff page, my pick is for Dropkick. It's the perfect size with great articulation and turns into a very convincing Pick-up which has been hard to do in the past for some reason.

Runners up for me would be the whole damn Real Gear line, the Botcon Seekers and MP3 Soundwave.

I posted this in the other thread, but what the hell. I like 2-for-1 sales.

    My picks for 2007:
Winner: ML Soundwave. What can I say? He's been my favorite character since day one and this was an awesome update that (finally) brought him into the 21st century.

Runners up: MP Megatron, US MP Starscream, Death Star Darth Vader, Concept BB.

Movie Leader Class Optimus Prime - hands down the best Optimus Prime toy I own (and I do have 20th Anniversary Optimus). He's highly articulated, beautifully sculpted, and he looks amazing in both modes. Not only the cream of the crop, as far as movie toys go, but one of the coolest Transformers ever.

    Runners-up: 08/09/CC Bumblebee, Classics Skywarp.

My choices below are purely based on figures I own, as it'd be unfair to jump onto any "popular" figure without owning/playing with 'em first hand.

Favorite of 2007 would go to Movie Leader Brawl - Menacing stance, heavily armed, non garbage electronic sounds and quite-in-scale alt mode with the rest of the mainline figs. Some may argue him being a deluxe upsize and bitch over the gapping hole in alt mode but I beg to differ. The upsizing part is partly true but the extra mold details is instawin for me, as for the glaring gap I can live with it being the driver's... entrance (for lack of proper term) which is also present on the real life tank.

Runner-up goes to Allspark Landmine - what a neat lil' surprise we get for closing! Interesting alt mode with working suspension, appropriate decals, good articulation, unique feet transformation, articulated claw-hands and 2 (TWO) mini automorphs that work well - the front wheels that move inwards as the door panels are pried open and his kneecap (I know, not the most exciting automorph hence "mini"). Cons? Could've use more paint apps on bot face.

A very close match to the above would be Movie Longarm - unorthodox alt mode done surprisingly well, molded details in form of metal rivets on truck bed, tiny autobot logo on bot head and I owe this to fellow tfw2005 members... removable BFG that doubles as shoulder cannon! On the downside, his hood is quite a mess to massage back into alt mode.

Yes, I am aware that all of my nominations are from the same line being a late collector... Am sure MP Warpie would've make it here if I could only fork out the dough

Well there you have it, my 2 cents on 2007 offerings and here's to a year full of surprises!

    Favourite of 2007:

    MP-6 Skywarp

I've always loved plane alt modes, and since I've never owned MP-3 this was my first taste of a realistic plane alt mode with a posable robot mode. I loved the low-key markings and the paint scheme also.

    Runners Up:

    BT-18 Rijie
    BT-17 Black Convoy
    Alt. Rodimus

Leader Optimus - Great transformation, lights up, makes noises, fun in both modes and really makes you want to relive the movie.

Leader Megs - pain in the ass to get his legs under his wings, aside from that I love the noise and lights up fx again, great design in robot and jet mode, plus the extra accessories like the flail and fusion cannon was a great add-on, making him more enjoyable to play with.

Leader Prime. Mine's signed by Peter Cullen. The signing breaks the tie with MP Megatron. 3rd = SWTF Death Star.
