New cartoon sounds good in principle.

So kids love Bumblebee for not a single charactertrait that is unique to him and couldn\'t be a trait of any other character.

Ugh, So the new kids cartoon will continue to poison the minds of the young with the 84 fanfavs, instead of introducing them to the post 86 characters and so Hasbro continues the selffulfilling prophecy that the 84 characters are more popular (why yes, they obviously would be, if you push them in everybody\'s faces and hide all the other characters this franchise is rich in far from the public eye).

So the Transformers Prime universe is only hanging on by a thread via Rescue Bots. And we won't have any of the original voice cast to boot...

Edit: wait, 11 minute episodes for RBA? So it's not going to be on tv? I wasn't paying attention if that's old news from SDCC or something.

Well, an executive later confirmed to us that Rescue Bots Academy will feature an all-new cast of robots.

Therefore successfully untying all ties with Aligned Continuity.

Older fans get more content from Machinima? Um, didn't they produce Combiner Wars, which most people hated? (Dat voice acting . . . from random interns. Mmm yeah.)

I like how "Reasons Kids Like Bumblebee!!" are all just super generic traits like "nice!" and "good friend!". Like . . . really? You could give any character those traits. I'd feel a little bit more respect for that slide if it had some specifics like "turns into a sports car" or "kids love the color yellow".

11 minute episodes for Rescue Bots Academy suggests to me that it will be formatted like several other kid shows, with two stories per 30 minute block -- think PJ Masks, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, etc. My kids all adore Rescue Bots, but if the new show doesn't premiere for another 1.5 years at the minimum, I have to imagine that they will have aged out by that point.

Unrelated, but "Little Pet Shop: Unleashed" makes me laugh way more than it should. Un-leashed. Heee!

\"Kids love bumblebee\", well see about that when the Aquaman and Spiderman fan/kids bash his spinoff film to the ground.

"A question was asked regarding how Franchise Fatigue will affect Transformers. If the answer is “Storytelling”, how is it helpful? Answer: Hasbro only just started to tell the Movieverse stories. There’s quite a lot of stories to tell including more stories happening on other planets."

Only just started to tell the Movieverse stories?!?!

No shit. Maybe that's because the last 4 movies have had the same fucking story; We must kill Earth to revive Cybertron, and we must find the Cube / Matrix / Pillar / Seed / Staff to do it!

Also, moving the story off planet? I'll bet all the money, the TFs won't go anywhere without humans following, or rando aliens filling in for them instead.

They should really consider an exit to the current movie-verse and just. Start. Over. There's almost nothing exclusively valuable about it that couldn't be done better, or hasn't already been done better in other TF media.

Maybe kids just like the funny robot that talks through the radio and turns into a cool car?

oh gods, this possibility worries me.
as fun as it is to shit on TTG, it's a symptom of an even bigger problem.

    the Action Cartoon is dying.

remember the 80s and 90s? we were absolutely inundated with Action Cartoons, and we still had a good balance of comedy toons.
nowadays we have what? TMNT, 3/4 Marvel toons, Transformers, and Star Wars. and whatever DC can keep on the air for a season before it gets cancelled.
everything else is flash animated, "lolrandom" comedy cartoons. even old action toon franchises like Teen Titans and ben 10 have succumbed to this sickness and devolved into this tripe.

I am worried that Transformers may very well fall into this same pit trap.

Any new info on that "Transformers Online" game? I can see what i believe to be a screenshot of it on the 19th slide so hoping that they will talk more about it.
Hopefully they try and change the style so its not "Overwatch but with Transformers instead".
