Derrick Wyatt and Michael Bay are like night and day!

I just can't get over how Wyatt can watch TFTM and get inspiration from it while Bay can't stand it.

It's simply amazing how different they are...

Hmm so Warpath is like military police eh, guess he will be involved in the whole Shockwave storyline. Mention of the Autobot high council is interesting and increases the likelyhood that the A**** T**** clue from s250 is more likely Alpha Trion than Astrotrain. And Black Arachnias experiments I guess since she has had no luck with making herself not a freak she has decided the next best thing is to make a few more which was largely what I was expecting I wonder if/who she gets her hands on besides poor Wasp, Spittor probably I wonder if anyone else ends up on the recieving end?

Interesting stuff and yeah spring 09 cant get here fast enough.

Transformers Animated: Victory? Transformers Animated: Neo? As long as it's not Transformers Animated: Zone and gets cancelled after one episode, fine by me.
Can't wait to see the Chosen One go toe-to-toe with the General of Destruction.

I'm impressed. This guy really knows his stuff, so you know this cartoon is just going to get better and better. Good time to be a Transfan.

 

Derrick Wyatt is to Transformers what Chris Nolan is to Batman.

Here we have a fan that loves TFs but is still open to new possibilities. He sticks to the truths but bends himself to new stories and new possibilities. This is something EVERYONE should be able to do when dealing with pre established properties.

People who did not do this? Michael Bay, yeah people loved the movie, I enjoyed it but he is not a TF fan and it shows.
Bryan Singer. Superman Returns, nuff said. How the hell do you make a Superman Movie and proudly boast you never read a comic before coming on the project. Well you get what we got which was a craptacular boring film that ended with Supes as a Baby Daddy.

My Wyatt gave us a great interview with a lot of (conscious or subconscious) clues to season three. If it wasn't hard enough going through withdrawls before this interview it is damn near impossible now.

Season 3 is going where I thought it would. It seems like the transition from JLA to JLU. A core cast for 2 seasons and then a boatload of others in the Third. Keep in mind JLU season 1 (or JLA season 3) was the best season of the bunch. I get the feeling TFA is going to do the same but not bust by season 4.

if derrick likes UK PBS stuff then he has to be the right guy on the job, he has some good taste.

those productions can seamlessly blend old and new together and thats what hes achieved with animated, theres nothing worse that a conservative mindset.

Season 3 better be 26 episodes or I'm gonna have a nerdrage and die of the awesome condensed into 13 episodes.

 

It's 13 episodes unfortunately- From March to May if no reruns are played.

 

Well I compare him to Chris Nolan because, from what I read in the interview, it seems liek he has a great deal of creative power.

I agree with everything you've posted here. Except I actually enjoyed Superman Returns!! 

 

you do get the impression that derrick has had a lot of fun with this, when you look at the movie designs you get more the feeling of 'chin stroking' than anything to smile about.
