Not sure if I'm addicted or not. All I know is that this site is awsome and I've made some friends since joining. Good friends.

I come here because the few people who know anything about TFs only know about the movies so if say Grimlock or cliffjumper or quickstrick or sliverbolt or supiron they say those aren't in the movies so they don't exist

I have some mixed feelings about TFW. Most of the time I like it, but sometimes I really feel like I could be somewhere else. People don't talk to me as much as they used to and the loss of actual socialization and one-on-one communication is kinda lame. Posting on the boards is great and all, but I kinda feel like I'm talking to myself.

TL;DR: If I ever had an addiction to TFW, it's now faded to a habit. I'm just used to being here, so being here I am.

Similarly to me. I mean, I talk to people, I just get the feeling they don't want to talk to me back.

Of useless existence, why do you plague me...

    That makes three of us.

We should talk to ourselves together. :)

There are certainly many times I put my thoughts and ideas out there here and it feels like nobody paid them any attention, and that sometimes for all the difference it makes I may as well be the only person posting here. Makes me glum. I am not a monster. I am a human beeeeeeeeing!

I like talking to myself. The voices in my head think that's a little disturbing.

I think everyone talks to themselves in one way or another. I did something obviously dumb earlier and then berated myself out loud for it.
I suppose it depends if you're having full-on conversations with yourself and replying back.

'Talking to yourself isn't a sign of madness, but answering yourself back is'.

This site is pretty habit forming. I always check this site first thing when I get home from work or when my hands and eyes are not otherwise occupied. I frequently find myself checking the site on my phone even when I'm working.

Don't feel bad all, I frequently post to a response of crickets chirping (or the Internet equivalent thereof). I don't lose sleep over it.

I always check the front page several times a day for news but I only ever look at forums from work. I do 12 hour days and in that time there is only around 2 hours of actual work to do so I end up sitting on here for a few hours a day. I have an equal roster so Im on here for 4 days straight and then I wont go beyond the news articles for the 4 days Im at home.

If a low post count to years regestered ratio is a good thing then I must be really imressive. The vast majority of them have been in the last 6 months too.

    Some degree of dignity.

    And your shoes.

I think some people enjoy being part of the discussion and when you've made what you think was an interesting point and then nobody pays it any attention it's a little like being in a real-world conversation with a group of people and you're getting regularly ignored.
For me I don't really often get too in-depth into debates or discussions, so on the rare occasions I do post something other than a comment about the accuracy of my arse in a long-distance tooting competition it can suck a little to come back later and find everyone has worked around my post without touching it (fnarr) and carried on like I'm the uncle that everyone doesn't like their kids talking to.

From what I've seen, the secret to getting a response here is to type something that either gives someone the opportunity to correct you, or just tell you you're wrong.

    -Consider this both.

I don't agree with that assessment.

    :p

You're right though - many people seem to relish jumping on the slightest error or difference in opinion to set them 'right'.
