Sure hope we really do see these guys by August

 

No news could make me happier than to see these get an actual release date. Thank you Hasbro for finally doing something right.

I like Roddys bio, not too keen on his head sculpt either, that goes for Ironhide aswell...

why does Ironhode have no mouth?

 

Nah, I think both will sell well (heh, that rhymed..) I think the reason cyb. Ratchet didn't go well is because it wasn't a constant appearance.... Then again neither was rodimus or IH for that matter... Iunno, time will tell.

 

Don't tell me the stripe just above his chin is supposed to be his mouth..that would give him a more horrible duckface than on Rodimus Minor..and it's definitely something the designers just *can't* do wrong..

 

Excellent. I held out on getting the Ratchet version because I wanted Ironhide. Why get the same version of a character I already own (the version I owned being the one that appeared the most in the show), when I could potentially get the same figure but get a new character for my collection instead?*

Rodimus still looks cool, too, but I never was a Rodimus fan so I honestly won't be too miffed if I miss his release.

(* I just realized that I passed on Universe Ironhide because of the Ratchet retool, and now I passed on Cyb. Ani. Ratchet for the Ironhide retool! Talk about irony)

Also, the header for this news article on the main page says it's Rodimus and Cyb. Mode Ratchet, not Ironhide.

 

wouldnt surprise me if the mouth was on the left side of the face, hidden in shadow in these pictures.

 

Leakin' lubricant! Ironhide looks so much better than I'd expected! Rodimus Minor is lookin' good too, as usual. But no Blackout, huh? I guess I'll have to end up ordering the Takara Animated Blackout from the same website I got my Animated Arcee from...

 

I hope they will have Japanese release for these two too

 

Someone pointed out earlier that Ironhide has a smirk somewhere on his face. But I can't seem to find it in any of the pictures posted.

 

I don't think so. Unlike Ratchet, Ironhide is an all new character.

If anything, Ironhide might be rarer than Rodimus if fans want to kitbash an armored look.

 

not sure for Ironhide but Rodimus is gonna scalped close to Arcee levels and I still don't have an Ani Arcee.
