TFW2005.com has opened a sub-section dedicated just to Amazon.com. Now, we know everyone and their mother has Amazon links all over the place, usually cluttering up the spot. We hope that this section is a bit different, and actually useful to you the fan.

If you check out this section, you will see a list of pre-defined search results on the left, covering almost everything related to JUST Transformers on Amazon.com. Click thru that list, and it brings up refined search results (as much as possible), and even shows you a 2005 styled product page when you click the item. These have bare minimum information for each. Picture, name, price, savings, done.

We will post up new items on the main TFW2005 Amazon page as they go up, and if we come across any shipping discount or coupon codes, they will be on our main Amazon page as well.

Make sure to let us know what you think about it!

    --- Also:

Yes, there is a tracking code to get affiliate click thru credit attached to it. No, we will not be whoring out Amazon links on the main page in news. Yes, we would like to make a little cash/credit from this. No, we will not be dumping search bars and banners into the other pages.

We wanted to balance some affiliate marketing situations in a way that could actually be useful to you guys, this was a pretty close deal, so we are trying it.

I figure the "you are selling out" and "you are whoring yourself out" type comments would come, so hopefully that answers it. Use it if you like, don't if you don't.

    later!

sweet, thanks Tony. I don't see it as whoring, but providing more potentially useful information, like where to find available toys or possibly coupons and specials. Thanks!

Likewise, I very much enjoy this feature and would be happy to contribute to it. It could be a major convenience to users, and I fully support you benefiting from it (hell, we've enjoyed the boards for free all these years, you deserve SOMEthing).

nice!!! i only buy from amazon when they have a really good sale, cuz' living in WA state we get nailed for shipping AND sales tax, but shopping options are always good and it can be a pain to find stuff on there. wel done. :thumb :

Whatever happened to Amazon and TrU parting company, did that change when TrU got purchased last year?
