Dang, that's nice looking. Think I'll pick this up, but isn't there a new version of this figure already?? This would make an awesome real car.

Excellent figure even with the back kibble (which isn't that bad in hand, to be honest--and the spoiler gives him a nice evil silhouette). Great job with the awesome photos!

And just two of my personal contributions to this neat mold!

Granted the new RiD mold appears to be more show accurate with no back kibble (I plan to pick up at least one) but the FE figure is still awesome in my book!

I'm a little more partial with this [the FE] version. It looks a bit more "Cylon" to me here, I think I can better fit him in with my hodge-podge group of Decepticons than the Rid version could.

    [Although I DOO want both..]

Same here. The RiD version will be the unofficial leader of my modest platoon of Vehicon drones. And I shall call him.... Steve. XD

This guy is cool, but knowing there's a much better version coming I can't help but see how stubby and kibbly he is.

Seeing how hit and miss some of the RiD line is (smaller downsized figures, lack of paint apps here and there, big uncovered holes in alt modes for mechtech weapons, etc.), I'd withhold judgment until we actually see the new figures in-hand first.

And I really don't get where you're seeing stubby from. Even with his back kibble, FE Vehicon is still very sleek and proportionate limbs-wise, with a drop-dead sexy alt mode. He's got some height on FE Cliffjumper, that's for sure (I don't have any other Deluxe molds yet to compare). If you're talking height comparisons, we're not even sure RiD Vehicon is really as tall (or even if he's better--promo pictures can fib, mind you) as he seems in pictures judging by how short Voyager Megatron (vs. FE Voyager Optimus) and RiD CJ are. I hope Hasbro being cheap on plastic usage as well as paint apps doesn't bite us in the ass, but there's still the possibility.

Even with the kibble, it's not as bad in-hand and the spoiler lends FE Vehicon an interesting (evil) silhouette. Show accurate? Maybe not. Cool? Hell yeah, he is.

But that isn't going to change the proportions of the toy.

    ALt mode looks super hot!!!

Bot mode looks ok, but indeed he looks like someone took half a car and simply placed it on his back. Back kibble seems to be a relatively common theme with Prime figures.

I really like the look of the Vehicons but I am divided. I know I want 3 of these guys and I also know that the second release looks better but is smaller than the FE version. Do I go 1 FE and 2 RID or 2 FE and 1 RID. Decisions, decisons.

I have the First Editions of everyone except Vehicon and Arcee and the Enertainment pack and I can say, no, no it is not. Bumblebee has his doors, that's it. Prime has two small-ish panels that fold up nicely. Bulkhead has his wheels from the show, that's it. Cliffjumper has no back kibble save a small section of the front bumper. Starscream has his wings from the show and the the small thruster end nicely folded up into his back.

Prime so far has done back kibble better than any line so far with the exception of Animated.

    SHILL!!!!

Just kidding around. I am in love with the Prime line even if they had to shrink them down and make a few other cut backs. Sign of the times, at least Hasbro is trying their best to avoid price hikes.

PS I love the pic with CJ and the two Vehicons.

Haha, lucky CJ is built like a soccer hooligan. XD I'm sure he'd be game, that is, if he weren't dead. /sadface

Proportions look fine to me. I think this is one of those cases where we'll just have to agree to disagree. XD

Yeah, I was surprised RiD Voyager Optimus had much worse back kibble than the FE version (accurate chest though), along with RiD Cliffjumper (granted FE CJ has the horned butt bumper thing going on but it's not as bad as RiD's).

Same here. TF Prime toys are teh sex! The wife is excited for Knockout (what female TF fan isn't? XD) so I hope Hasbro doesn't screw up his toy. And truth; the shrinking/downsizing of figures (along with minimal paint apps) is really disappointing but not totally unexpected given they started doing it with DotM. Fairly sure the trend will continue with RiD and Movie Trilogy. I really hope it doesn't affect Generations toys seeing how many of us want to keep our Classics display somewhat in scale but I fear for the worst there.

Haha, and thanks, glad you like. XD I want to take some clearer pictures of them along with Deluxe Starscream (gloating over and then executing poor CJ) but it'll have to wait until I settle into my new place first.
