Yes folks, the third of our Transformers Prime Deluxe toy gallery additions is Bumblebee (please note - I personally did not get Deluxe Starscream as I'm waiting on the Voyager)

Bumblebee is an interesting toy. He's a lot of fun and he very much harks back to some of the design cues of the original Bluestreak and Smokescreen. He's not completely flawless - the arms gave me some trouble, particularly getting the "point arm in front and shoot" pose to work just how I wanted it.

All in all though he's a great little Bumblebee, when doing the comparison I dug out a whole bunch of my old Bumblebees and was impressed at how far designs have come since the 1970s Bumblebee since 2007.

Anyhow, enough from me, enjoy the gallery:

And lastly, for a bit of fun, I decided to dig through my old TFs and find some decent double barreled blasters for Bumblebee's arms, since he only got one arm cannon. I went a bit OTT with these (from Action Master Optimus Prime) - guess you could call them his "heavy weapons" option?

Bought this figure at Toys 'r' Us last week. HUGE disappointment. His arm joints are loose and don't hold up on their own very well and his chest plates are a joke. There's nothing holding them in except for two tiny hooks that don't lock into place. His feet don't lock into anything either so I've had to tighten the screws myself so he can at least stand. He looks awesome in car mode and I like his robot form but the toy itself is a failure. I still think he should have had a battle mask like Movie Bee. Man that was sexy. Battle Blade Bumblebee is still the best Bee out there.

I still ponder over if I should get this. Some of my friends say yes, but some say not worth it.

For now, it does not sell well. Only Arcee and Starscream sell out.

You get these figures is for selling purpose in future or you are playing with them? For me,is my hobby for collecting toy, hence when i get the figure,it will only be i like them, then i will get them. But if you are buying just for the purpose of selling in future, then you need to re-consider

^For me, I buy for both reasons stated as well, however- mostly the stuff from my collection will be kept MOSC/ MIB/ MISB. If I happen to have multiples of one item or if I don't feel like keeping a particular toy, (who holds no play/sentimental value), then I will most definetely consider selling it/them.

Back on topic: Thanks Sol, for a neat honest pictoral review. :)
I think I'll paint him up alittle more dark yellow........

It's not bad, just wish the face was a little lighter grey going with the yellow.

He's a pretty good figure. Only thing wrong with mine is that his shoulders are both really loose. Nothing wrong with the chest clips, either... at least, not yet.

I saw this at the local TRU along with an Arcee. They where the only two Prime toys on the shelf. I was going to buy both but in the end only walked away with the Arcee. It just doesn't look good to me. I love most of the TF Prime designs. I just can't get around B. I'll probably end up getting one just because I like all of the other TFP Autobot toys I've seen, and I might as well get them all.

I like the figure. The shoulders on mine are too loose, as well. There are definitely some QC issues. The biggest issue on mine was that the right heel was put on upside down. I had to take out the three screws holding the foot together, take the foot apart, and install the heel correctly. It was an easy fix, but it shouldn't have been needed.

Arcee was on backorder from TRU.com, but I also got Starscream. The alt mode is fine enough, but the bot mode is spectacular! His bot mode is spot-on with the show, just incredible.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly; I may feel the same about the TFP starscream.

I got my Bumblebee yesterday from TRU.com and while he's a pretty neat design, I hate the shoulders and how the chest doesn't lock into place. Having a second weapon would have been nice, too... Not a bad display piece, but for playability... not so great.

Nice review! Love the extra gun poses...

I LOVE my "cheddar" orange NYCC version...

    9 / 10 IMO

Lemmon yellow? Dark face? Naaa. I'll pass...

But I'll pick up version 2 with dual blasters FTW!

PS thanks to fellow board members for the pic...

Even though Starscream is a better toy, this one is more impressive in the fact that I like yet another version of BB.

Mine had the same issue. Mine also has an issue where the right hip socket just loves to work its way off the ball joint every time I try to pose it. I heard this may be a widespread issue. Can anyone confirm/deny please?
