Yeah, this set is getting to be well known for being produced with quite bad, substandard plastic quality.

The die-cast matrix it comes with can fit in G1 Optimus Prime.

I haven't actually checked, but it looks like it's the same mold as the one that shipped with New Years Convoy back in ~2000.

It is the same matrix as the New Years Reissue from 2002, not 2000. It's also the same one that came with the Galvatron reissue.

Yeah, and some of the G1 galleries are over 25 years after the fact. A shame really.

I don't understand the severe difference in quality of plastic among nearly simultaneous released figures. For instance, Jazz and Tracks' plastic feels extremely cheap to me. But things like Scourge and Blurr are nice and solid. Why is the quality so inconsistent?

In Washington DC perhaps, but not everywhere else. Heck, they just started to appear in Canada this week. Remember, this message board caters to fans all around the world, and not just the US.

    Think before you post!

Yeah - but they usually aren't news posts.

Yes... But that DOES mean that pics are readily available all over the internet. Which brings it back to the original point - not news.

Our site gallery updates are always news. In the past, they've just been monthly updates with lots of galleries, but I wanted to take more time to highlight the efforts of our photo staff and contributors.

I'm sorry you do not approve of giving our hard-working staff more love and appreciation, but that is how it is.

Also, FYI - if someone submitted a nice gallery of Generation 1 toys to us, it would get highlighted on the frontpage as a gallery update.

Wait a sec.. people are arguing about rules for what is "news" and I haven't posted yet?!?! The world has changed right out from under me.

Anyways.. nice pics. The BiS set is something I didn't need until I convinced myself I had to have some Transformers on my desk at work again. The heavy little matrix is a nice bonus. I haven't noticed any stress problems with my Rodimus, and the Cyclonus figure I got has his shoulders snap into place nicely (unlike my SG Cyclonus.. grrrrr).

On that note.. if anyone has a left shoulder/arm for SG Cyclonus for sale that is nice and snug... for say.. $20? Let me know!

This was a nice set and a surprise to find in my local WalMart.

And golf clap to Hasbro for a beautiful repaint on Cyclonus... yes, I said it.

... but of all the robots you try to hide rubsigns on... who DOESN'T know which side these two play for?!?!?
