Enjoy guys - this is possibly the most complicated photo shoot I've worked on for a single toy, even though Rodimus here is legitimately "two toys in one". But seeing it all done, I think it has been well worth all the time spent on making sure it is utterly perfect.

Check out the frontpage story for a few of my favourite images, or the full gallery for the 250+ photos of the big guy!

I hope Hasbro can fix this figure for the U.S. release but I think some of the flaw's are from poor engineering. I Watched the optibotimus review and he said it is worse then the master piece Megatron...that is scary. Great pictures Sol Fury:)

Have you watched any other review? Peaugh has a very different perspective on MP Rodimus.

After watching a few reviews and looking at galleries to make sure I was getting it right and then Transforming MP Rodimus a few times, I can say that the toy is not a complex as I initially thought. It's certainly not as bad as MP Megatron. That being said, even though the transformation is more straightforward then I thought, the fact that the panels in car mode are hard to line up, and the back-pack in 'bot mode won't clip is rather frustrating.

    Awesome gallery!

I believe that may be the one that comes with Kiss Players Hot Rodimus; not sure though.

I think the negative reviews with people breaking him are just them being impatient with the figure trying to be the first to make a video review.

That I agree. There are a lot of video reviews that came out just hours after they received it. After a few days some well thought out reviews surfaced. Even tigermegatron waited a few days before posting his video review.

The reports of the fragile nature are very much exaggerated - he's not as solid as Grimlock, but I find him to be as stable as Starscream at least. Far from flawless, and that backpack comes out so, so easily (it's part of why it's taken me this long to get this guy finished). But even with all of that, he is a brilliant design, and a very fitting update to the original. You can see one picture in there, I also attached it on the frontpage, where I've got my other four Generation 1 Hot Rods all together. In that picture there is the very beat up vintage Generation 1 Targetmaster from my childhood. Getting this Masterpiece Rodimus is a dream, because it gives me a Masterpiece of that Hot Rod toy, my favourite Transformer toy from my childhood.

It is the one that comes with the Kiss Players one - it's also strapped onto the arm of the Alternator in the images where he pops up. I got it from the parts party at Botcon a few years back (otherwise I'd have shown MP Rodimus with Shao-Shao in the driver's seat!)

Hasbro didn't fix any of the flaws in the Seeker molds, so I doubt they'll do anything different this time around with the perceived flaws in MP-09.

i have this figure and can honestly say that the few problems with it are basically little annoyances. nothing worth ignoring this figure in the shops for. sure, the car doesnt always sit flush with all four wheels touching the floor perfectly- and sure for the first couple of transformations it is quite tricky to line everything up perfectly. and of course the spoiler gets some very minor scratches from the trailer. but just look at this gallary. it is an awesome toy in ALL modes and mine is in no way fragile. i have mine as hotrod looking up to my masterpiece optimus and it looks awesome (the smaller proportions work well for hotrod).
mine was well worth the money and i feel some reviewers just exaggerate the problems just so they can complain about something. i mean- we won't EVER get a better hotrod toy so keep the few negatives in proportion and concentrate on the many many possitives

I have 2 of the seekers, both U.S. releases...both are flawless.I was unaware that the seeker mold had any major issues.

Thats a huge relief. I mean, I dont do video reviews, so mine is clearly not broken, then. :throw  In fact, I deliberately took my time and transformed him carefully, and the leg panel still snapped off. Anyway, I dont want this to turn into another of those threads.... Great pictures.
