Ugh. So much crisp, clear photography. And awesome angles. This is a ridiculously difficult choice. But I'm leaning toward Transdudes.
There's a lot of good stuff on display here (aside from that Coolhand idiot, he's rubbish.) Good, solid photographs really do go such a long way to improve the overall finished product: These are PHOTOcomics, after all. Focus, lighting, interesting angles and post-production work on the basic image can make all the difference. I voted for Starfire: Those shots of Grim and Sunstreaker in the snow are utterly captivating, and the dude had the sheer lugnuts to put Alts and MP SEEKERS in the middle of a snowy forest, cover them in the freezing white stuff and photograph them. The results are stunning. He's clearly mad, but the results are stunning.
Have any of these been an easy choice? I say thee: NO! These are all worthy, and made me realize that I can do waaaaay better in how I shoot. Thanks for the inspiration everyone! For me it was a 3 way tie between Starfire, Coolhand and Chaos Incarnate. Starfire and Coolhand your shots were utterly amazing, but I think that Chaos Incarnate has a real gift with those shots of Lockdown. They make me want to buy that toy...
Funny how great photography can make you want to buy a toy you would never have thought about buying, eh? Several in my collection were bought after seeing them in other people's comics. And I have no idea who to vote for yet...
It is very true. I have Pol and Coolhand to thank for my ever-growing collection of Alternators. After reading your comic I am fairly close to buying a certain Go-bot (and special koodos to you for making him look good!)
Went with Transdudes. The photos are nice and crisp, but I really like the angles used there. No offense to the others, as everyone else here has some really great photography. Coolhand sucks, looks like a monkey wrote his stuff and handled his camera.
Isn't Draeck's strip that's been nominated for Best Photography from this year? I swore that it was from one of his updates from this year... Ack... so many good choices... >.<
As much as I appreciate the nomination, and I really do.. ^^This is totally true. I shall ask the mighty Zherbus what the rules are in such a scenario? I can give some 2009 image links or you could just drop my nomination, 2009 is 2009.
I voted for Mini-Bot. Her pictures always come out so crisp, it's just incredible. Of course, everybody else who's been nominated has incredible photography skills, but something about Mini-Bot's pictures just constantly blows me away.
Damn it. Seriously, the choices! There are some REALLY great shots in all of these sets. People really got an eye for angles here, and it shows. Had to go with Coolhand. He's got great shots of just about everything--and one of my favorite moments camera-wise (that wasn't shown here) was Silverstreak blabbing on and on with Sunstreaker in front of Mirage's cell, all the while taking his gun out. All very creative.
I had to go with Prime Time's Lockdown shots. Simply menacing and awe-inspiring, and these shots gets even more so as the comic progresses. Oh, and a big thanks to whoever nominated Fun-ness. You made my day.
A big thank you to whoever nominated and voted for my comic. ^.^ This was another extremely difficult decision. So many good entries, and I could only choose one! >.< In the end, I had to go with Starfire's, though. I adore his outdoor shots!
