I GOT NOMINATED???? WOHOOOO!!! Thankyou very much for the one who nominated my comic! i still dont think it deserves to be here but thanks! i'm voting for Purdue's comic though, he already has the title in the poll!
Wow, that's quite a few from last year. Had to give E.C.R. my vote. We'll have to see how things pan out.
Phew, nobody nominated my comic. Good, since I'm preparing to remake it and want a better shot at the awards next year. Tough call to make on which is the best comic, as all but three of them I'm a loyal reader of. Hmm... I'm going to have to go with Beyond Your Wildest Imagination. Crazymadman -- I do believe reboots/remakes of comics are eligible for any awards. As long as the comic started in the year 2009, they can be nominated for any category.
You know, I had to check the dates on Beyond Your Wildest Imagination. ECR has been so prolific, I was such he had been making his comic since 2008. But I was wrong; BYWI is indeed a 2009 comic, and ECR should probably get an award for his prodigious output! It's between him and Time Shinki for me. Hmmm...
Voted. Once again, a tough call as there's some damn fine material in those strips, but in the end I went for ECR Former, with Time Shinki and Beast Wars Rebooted a VERY close joint second.
there are many comics here that i have enjoyed tremendously over the past year. JTV wins points for the fun name and cool gags. between zen buttkicking and batwave, it's easy to find a few laughs. Robticon's short arrangement of funnies is anything but short, it's popularity is a testament to the quality of the gags. "speed of cheese" being the tops for me. both of these comics seem to be on hiatus, making their addition bittersweet. on the brink has a very interesting setting, autobots and decepticons on the run from humans. and it's SUPR SRS. beyond your wildest imagination, now there's a comic that is exactly what it says on the tin. not satisfied merely presenting a slightly modified 1986 movie, the second act changes key events and rolls on from there. these comics are the top spots for me, the new ones i've enjoyed most over the year. may they join their rightful places beside the classics! now, who to vote for?
Time Shinki was a close second--I nominated it actually--but I had to go with ECR in the end. I'm really impressed with what's he's done, and the tangents the story takes after Prime's death!
I love on the brink and think its off to a great start. However, Beyond your wildest imagination is amazing. That its only been around seice 2009 surprised me considering how huge and well known it already is.
It definitely looks like ECR is going to win this one... unless we get several last-minute voters who vote for somebody else.
Just read thrugh ECR's I must say quite impressive and diffently deserves the victory it is most likely going to recieve. Not to knock down anyone else of course!
